Fortnite: Team SoloMid Signs Ops

TSM's Fortnite roster just grew larger with the addition of another rising talent.

Team SoloMid (TSM) has been on a roll as of late in the Fortnite community. Last month, the popular esports organization added multiple time champion Rocco “Saf” Morales. TSM shortly followed that up with the addition of an underrated player named Kerry “Ferrrnando” Fernando. It seems that TSM is willing to take risks on lesser-known players like Ferrrnando. The organization announced today their signing of former Misfits Gaming member, Sardar “ops” Ghafoor.

Ops Joins Team SoloMid

Like the Saf and Ferrrnando announcements, Team SoloMid continued the trend of highlighting some of Ops' best Fortnite clips throughout his brief career. This montage serves as the initiation into Team SoloMid's growing Fortnite roster. He joins an insane spread of players, including Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro, Josh “Commandment” Roach, Mack “MackWood” Aesoph, Leon “Khanada” Khim and viewing party superstar Emad “EmadGG” Nasif. Ops had this to say in regards to his signing with Team SoloMid:

“My goal is to keep entertaining people for many years to come and keep growing my amazing community. Joining TSM is an insane accomplishment for me and I never thought I'd find myself on one of the best esport orgs in the world. I'm excited to see where my future goes with me and TSM.”

Ops also offered Misfits Gaming some parting words after spending nearly a year and a half with the organization.

Ops' Competitive History

For those unaware, Ops appeared on the competitive Fortnite scene in March of 2019. He participated in a handful of tournaments, including a Duo Fortnite World Cup Qualifier. Ops and fellow NA East pro yung calculators were a mere seven points from punching their ticket to New York City finals. Since then, Ops has been quiet in terms of his competitive achievements. His last documented tournament result took place in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 1, where he took seventh place in a Solo Cash Cup. Ops may focus more on the content side under the TSM banner, considering his robust 341,000 followers on Twitch.

Team SoloMid continues to acquire Fortnite talents in a game with little to no incentive to do so. Over the last few months, their actions offer reassurance to all aspiring Fortnite pros who are merely looking for a chance. There's no telling who TSM will add next in their campaign to remain atop the competitive Fortnite stratosphere.
