Fortnite Season 8 Leaks Reveal Possible Unvaulting Of Flint Knock & Combat Shotgun Based On Player Votes

Shockwave Launcher, Flint Knock and Combat Shotgun are amongst potential choices in Fortnite Season 8 Fund Machine unvaulting.

Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 8 has been in the hands of players for just over 12 hours now. Epic Games dubbed this season “Cubed” and promptly shook the game to its core with an invasion of purple Cubes. The fallout from Operation: Sky Fire changed the Season 8 landscape significantly, bringing back Slip Streams and introducing brand new “Sideways” areas of the map, where chaos lurks at every turn.

Perhaps the most exciting addition Epic Games included in this season tasks players with voting to unvault one of two items. Like the Drum Gun unvaulting from Chapter 1 – Season 8, Fortnite combatants can deposit money into a “Fund Machine” to vote for what they'd like to see in Chapter 2 – Season 8.

Fund Machine Choices

Fortnite leaker HYPEX took to Twitter earlier with details regarding this season's Fund Machine feature. Throughout Season 8, players can exchange Bars to vote on what they'd like to bring into the fold.

Some of the choices include the Shockwave Launcher, Rift-To-Go and Flint Knock. It appears Epic will run four rounds of Fund Machine votes.

Here is the round-by-round breakdown per HYPEX:

  • First Round: Shockwave Launcher OR Rift-To-Go
  • Second Round: Recoil SMG OR Recoil AR
  • Third Round: Boogie Bomb OR Combat Shotgun
  • Fourth Round: Flint Lock OR Proximity Launcher

Most of these selections should be familiar to Fortnite fans. However, the Recoil SMG and Assault Rifle are currently unreleased weapons that will debut in Season 8. As previously stated, players can cast their votes using the gold bar currency earned from completing quests, eliminating players, finishing bounties and farming furniture.

It's unclear when Epic plans to start the first round, but we can expect more details in the next few weeks. After all, Season 8 has been out for less than 24 hours.

We'll be sure to keep you updated with more information!
