Epic Games has announced the Fortnite x NBA collaboration!

Fortnite Battle Royale and the National Basketball Association (NBA) have officially inked a deal to include team names and logos in the popular game. Rumors regarding the crossover began months ago, including a planned Community Event, where players could support a team and earn in-game rewards and V-Bucks for prizes. Now, Epic Games has revealed the collaboration, which begins today, coinciding with the NBA playoffs.

Fortnite x NBA: The Crossover

“The Crossover” brings all 30 NBA teams and likeness into Fortnite, similar to the game’s numerous collaborations with the National Football League (NFL). Fortnite players will have the opportunity to purchase many different character outfits and select the team and logo they would like to represent. Here is a complete list of cosmetics available in The Crossover:

  • Fast Break
  • Half-Court Hero
  • Buzzer Beater
  • Triple-Double
  • Fadeaway
  • Rain Maker
  • Dyanmo Dribbler
  • Crossover Champion
  • Rebound Raider
  • Splash Specialist
  • NBA Championship Trophy (back bling)
  • Mini Hoop (back bling)
  • Dribblin’ (emote)

While the cost of each cosmetic is not available yet, you can expect them to ring in at around 1,200 V-Bucks for the skins and 500 to 1,000 for the back bling and emote.

NBA Player Lockers

NBA player Trae Young is faded in the background with his crossover Fortnite skin, pickaxe, emote and wrap featured.

In addition to the NBA bundles, individual basketball players will also receive their own Fortnite player lockers. These typically include the go-to character outfit, emote, back bling, pickaxe and weapon wrap of that particular player. Utah Jazz player Donovan Mitchell and Trae Young of the Atlanta Hawks are the two players shown in Epic’s announcement blog post. Those will be available at a later date.
