Fortnite: Leaks Reveal An “Electricity Element” Could Be Coming Soon

Could an electrical component be coming to Fortnite?

Epic Games continues to find ways to revolutionize Fortnite’s in-game mechanics unlike any other. In recent seasons, the developers introduced fire, which currently engulfs entire forests and wooden builds in flames. This gameplay element added another dynamic to an already complex game. Players had to consciously avoid using wood pieces because the fire hits hard and deals a lot of damage.

Just when you thought fire would be the last move, leaks today revealed that Epic Games might be adding another element into Fortnite. An electricity component similar to fires could be on the horizon next.

Leaks Reveal a Potential Electric Effect Down the Line

As usual, HYPEX was the first to jump on this latest development in Fortnite. He stated that Epic Games is working on some semblance of an electrical component, which would function like the fire effects currently in the game. However, where fire affects wooden builds and trees, the electricity would only impact metal structures and deal damage similarly. That brief description encompasses everything we know thus far about the potential electricity element.

It’s important to remember that some of these leaks fizzle out over time, so Epic may or may not decide to implement this into the game. Regardless, it’s undoubtedly an exciting development that would add another unique gameplay dynamic to Fortnite Battle Royale. Epic’s recent “Wild Weeks” event showcased a lot of the game’s latest features, so it would make sense that the developers are looking to add more.

We’ll have to wait and see what comes of this rumor over the next few weeks. Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7 will end on September 12.
