BoomTV, Intel and AVGL have put together a $10K USD Fortnite competition, and some of the best players have committed to compete.
Competitive Fortnite is ramping back up just two days after the debut of Chapter 2 – Season 8. The team at BoomTV is hosting a $10K USD Streamer Showdown tournament to welcome Fortnite’s top competitors to another new season.
This duos competition features some of the game’s most significant players and personalities, including World Cup Champ Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf, Cody “Clix” Conrod, FNCS Season 7 Champion Justice and many more. What unfolds tomorrow afternoon should set the stage for what fans and players can expect throughout Chapter 2 – Season 8’s competitive season.
With six games of intense Fortnite on the horizon, ESTNN is here to break down the Streamer Showdown’s format, prize pool and provide some feeds to watch during the event.

Duos format
- Six custom matches
- Each game will occur on alternating servers (NA East & NA West)
- Teams earn points based on placement and eliminations
- The tournament starts on September 15 at 3 PM PT / 6 PM ET
Streamer Showdown Scoring System
- Victory Royale: 41 points
- 2nd: 34 points
- 3rd: 30 points
- 4th: 27 points
- 5th: 25 points
- 6th: 22 points
- 7th: 20 points
- 8th: 18 points
- 9th: 16 points
- 10th: 14 points
- 11th-15th: 10 points
- 16th-20th: 7 points
- 21st-30th: 4 points
- 31st-50th: 2 points
- Each Elimination: 2 points
Streamer Showdown Prize Pool
- 1st place: $3,000
- 2nd place: $2,000
- 3rd place: $1,500
- 4th place: $1,000
- 5th place: $750

How to Watch the Streamer Showdown
BoomTV will host a stream on their Twitch channel with commentary over each of the six matches. Most of the names below will more than likely stream their perspectives on Twitch as well. To find their streams, type their names into the search bar on the website and you should be able to find them all.
