Fortnite: How To Knock Down Timber Pines

Learn where to find Timber Pines in Chapter 3 Season 1 and how to knock them down.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1’s first set of challenges following the new year and week five has arrived Some are simple, while others require knowledge of the Chapter 3 landscape. One Quest asks players to chop down five Timber Pines in exchange for 20K experience points (XP). It might be confusing to some, considering Fortnite’s map contains thousands of trees.

Today, we’ll explain where you can find Timber Pines to chop them down and complete this Quest.

Where to Find Timber Pines

Timber Pines are trees, unlike anything Fortnite fans have seen in the past. They are similar to Redwood Trees and embody different mechanics than typical Fortnite trees. Players can cut down Timber Pines by shooting or hacking at them with a Pickaxe. After a few wacks, the Timber Pines will fall and roll away. Please proceed with caution since the fallen trees can deal damage when they make an impact.

The map above – courtesy of Fortnite.GG – shows where you can find every Timber Pine in Chapter 3 Season 1. As you can see, the trees spawn only on the north and northwest sides of the map. These are the areas you’ll want to explore to complete the week five Quest. The remaining steps are straightforward; find five Timber Pines, knock them down and enjoy 20K XP added to your season total.
