Fortnite: FaZe EwOk Moving to Mixer

Another Twitch streamer is taking their talents to Mixer.

Mixer has acquired yet another recognizable Twitch star in Soleil “FaZe EwOk” Wheeler. The official Fortnite streamer and FaZe Clan member has added herself to a list of Twitch streamers who have decided to move over to the Mixer platform. In recent months, we’ve seen the likes of Tyler “Ninja” Blevins and Michael “shroud” Grzemiek move away from Twitch in favor of Mixer. Wheeler is the first notable female streamer to make a move.

The announcement came about via Twitter, where Wheeler herself painted the Mixer logo on a plain white wall. What followed was a flash of November 2019 on the screen, indicating that Wheeler will continue her streaming career on Mixer reasonably soon. Fellow Mixer streamer, Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, chimed in to congratulate Wheeler on the platform change. The Mixer family themselves also reached out to formally welcome her to the family.
Who is EwOk?
Wheeler possesses immense talent in Fortnite player and performs well without the ability to hear. She appeared in the Fortnite World Cup Pro-Am with Jordan Fisher and took 25th place. Wheeler primarily focuses on content but has dabbled in the competitive Fortnite atmosphere in the past. With nearly 300K followers on Twitch before her exit and the FaZe Clan fandom behind her, she will impact Mixer’s viewership in at least some fashion.
Twitch Continuing to Lose Talent
Since the beginning of October, Twitch has lost Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Michael “shroud” Grzemiek and Jack “CourageJD” Dunlop to rival streaming outlets. These are some critical names in the history of video game streaming. Each of these three has ascended gaming into the mainstream media. Blevins streamed live on Twitch on New Year’s Eve in Time Square, and Dunlop appeared in a video alongside long-time celebrity crush, Ariana Grande. It would be a cop-out to suggest that these are just gamers. Wheeler is no slouch in terms of her Twitch following. Although Mixer’s viewership may not be an accurate indication, the Microsoft streaming website is giving Twitch and run for its money and talent.
