Fortnite Chloe Kim Cup: No Building, Free Skin, Format & More

Today, Epic Games announced the inclusion of two-time Olympic gold medal-winning Snowboarder Chloe Kim into the Fortnite Icon Series.

The Icon cosmetic classification houses other well-known names such as LeBron James, Ariana Grande, Ninja, Marshmello, etc. Epic has done a great job working closely with these celebrities to capture their likeness and transfer it into Fortnite Battle Royale.

With each Icon Series collaboration comes a tournament where players can compete to win the cosmetic set for free. Enter the Chloe Kim Cup—Fortnite's first-ever competition where the building is not an option. The tournament begins Thursday, March 24, ahead of the scheduled Item Shop appearance on March 26; top-performing players will secure the base Chloe Kim outfit and back bling. Here is everything you need to know.

Chloe Kim Cup Format

Fortnite's Chloe Kim Cup is the first no-build tournament in the game's lengthy history. Epic Games removed Fortnite's building mechanic to start Chapter 3 Season 2 as part of the central storyline. Players have reacted positively to the change–even going as far as to implore the developers to make a separate no-build game mode. In any case, this gimmick will only last for another six days.
