100 Thieves has announced that Cody “Cody Sun” Sun is joining their roster.
The AD carry is returning to his former team after 100 Thieves agreed to buy out his contract with Dignitas.
The deal is likely to follow hot off the heels of 100 Thieves confirming that the team’s Academy support William “Stunt” Chen will replace Zaqueri “Aphromoo” Black as the team’s starting support.
Farewell @aphromoo.
Zaq, these past 2 years have been filled with memories we'll never forget. Thank you for being one of the first pro players to take a chance on 100 Thieves when we were a brand new team. We wish you nothing but the best moving forward. pic.twitter.com/f1uKVXFwkK

100 Thieves have made two other signings this off-season so far with Mid laner Tommy “ry0ma” Le and jungler William “Meteos” Hartman. Bringing the team’s starting roster to four players, if we assume ry0ma is for the Academy team.
The team now looks to have a settled starting roster for the 2020 season. The roster looks like:
Top – Kim “Ssumday” Chan-ho
Jungle – Meteos
Mid laner – ry0ma (likely to play for Academy side)
ADC – Cody Sun
Support – Stunt
As of right now, ry0ma is the presumed starting mid laner, though ESPN has reported that the team is still looking for someone, so an announcement could come shortly.
It wasn’t just players that 100 Thieves signed this offseason. Former LCK analyst Chris “PapaSmithy” Smith also joined the organization as its new League of Legends General Manager.
