Warrior Runes – WoW Season of Discovery

Learn all you need to know about Warrior Runes in WoW Season of Discovery.

A quick rundown of all the Runes for Warriors in World of Warcraft's Season of Discovery.

Warrior Rune Locations in WoW SoD Phase 2

Focused Rage Rune Location

Horde + Alliance:

• Visit the Witherbark Cave at 63.0 77.0 in the Arathi Highlands and kill Witherbark trolls until they drop the Witherbark Mallet.
• Use the Mallet at the gong at the end of the cave to summon Witherbark Goliath (best bring a party for that) and kill it and the ads to obtain the rune.

Intervene Rune Location

Horde + Alliance:

• Head to The Shimmering Flats and you'll find 3 training dummies at 68 88.7.
• Execute the dummy to the left, taunt the dummy in the middle, and Shield Bash the dummy at the right.
• The rune can be found in a chest that pawns after.

Rallying Cry Rune Location

Horde + Alliance:

• Challenge and beat the Wandering Swordsman who can be found in the Badlands around  32.0 65.9. After beating him in a duel, you get to claim the rune.

Enraged Regeneration Rune Location

Horde + Alliance:

• Head to Desolace and find the Extingushed Fire at 47.5 54.6 near the Kodo Graveyard. Here you can initiate the quest Highway Robbery.
• Head to Bibbly F'utzbuckle at the northeast of the Graveyard to turn in and accept the quest On the Lam.
• Next, you have to go to Booty Bay in Stranglethorn Vale and walk to Tokal at the Inn and you get the quest Cherry for Your Thoughts. Now buy Cherry Grog from Nixxrax Fillamug and turn in the quest with Tokal to accept No Honor Among Thieves.
• Now go to the Arathi Highlands and use the rowboat at 53.0 91.0 to go to the eastern shore. Here you have to talk to Illari Duskfeather at the docks, fight, and loot her for Illari's Key.
• You'll find a chest near Illari's location at the docks where you can turn in the quest for the Jewel-Encrusted Box which contains the rune.

Blood Surge Rune Location

Horde + Alliance:

• By killing Ogre's in Arathi Highlands you can get the Illegible Recipe which will unlock the Anyone Can Cook quest.
• Head to Skonk in the southeast at 57.6 74.5, turn in the quest, and accept A Quick Grocery Run.
• Now you have to Slay Wild Gryphons at Durnholde Keep in Hillsbrand Foothills, look Smuggler's Spice Blend from the sunken ship found in the Arathi Highlands at 20.0 83.0, Viscous Venom from spiders in the Swamp of Sorrows and Balmy Brew from the keg found in the basement of Angor Fortress in the Badlands.
• Return to Skonk, turn in the quest, and defeat Skonk to obtain the rune and the Shawarmageddon Mace.

Precise Timing Rune Location

Horde + Alliance:

• Head on over to Ariden's Camp at Deadwind Pass and talk to the Dalaran Agent to obtain Ariden's Sigil.
• Equip it and you'll get the Dark Presence Buff in certain locations which causes Dark Riders to spawn. You'll have to slay all 7 of them.
• These can be found at the following locations and coordinates, loot them for the relics:
  • Deadwind Pass: 43.0 29.0
  • Duskwood: 23.0 47.0
  • Swamp of Sorrows: 69.0 28.0
  • Arathi Highlands: 34.0 35.0
  • The Barrens: 52.0 36.0
  • Desolace: 65.0 25.0
  • Badlands: 58.0 54.0
• Return to the Dalaran Agent and turn in the relicts to obtain the rune.

Commanding Shout Rune/Skillbook Location

Horde + Alliance:

• The Handbook of Commanding Shout can drop from any mob in the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard.

Warrior Rune Locations

Flagellation Rune

Horde + Alliance:

• Visit the northeastern crypt near Raven Hill in Duskwood and enter the big room to the left. You can interact with an object there that'll reward you with Decrepit Phylactery.
• Next, enter the Crypt to the west of Raven Hill and find the room with a stone throne. Here, pick up the Slumbering Bones and use Phylactery on it. This will summon a level 25 Elite Lich. Kill it and obtain your Rune of Flagellation.

Blood Frenzy Rune

To obtain this rune, you have to best the Wandering Swordsman who can be found in most starting areas. Here are all the known coordinates so far.

• Dun Morogh: 53, 47
• Elywnn Forest: 36,80 / 29,76 / 25,74
• Teldrassil:39,37 / 39,69 / 43,76 / 54,66 / 62,71
• Tirisfal Glades: 79,65
• Durotar: 38,48.
• Mulgore: 54,36 / 51,39 / 40,53 / 37,55 / 60,67

Raging Blow Rune

Horde + Alliance:

• You need to find three Dragonslayer items to obtain this Rune.
• The Dragonslayer's Lance can be bought from the Dark Iron Entrepreneur for 75 Silver. He can be found in Dun Modr in the north of the Wetlands.
• The Dragonslayer's Shield is obtained from a level 25 elite called Gath'llzogg, found in Redridge Mountains at 67, 56.
• The Dragonslayer's Helm is found inside Shadowfang Keep in Commander Springvale's boss room.

Warbringer Rune

Horde + Alliance:

• The rune can be bought off Grizzby in Rachet after completing a few quests.
• Shredder Turbochargers asks you to bring Grizzby 16 Shredder Turbochargers which are obtained by using the Shredder Autosalvage Unit on Venture Co Shredders which are located in the Stonetalon Mountains at the Windshear Crag.
• Dark Iron Ordinance asks you to to bring Grizzby 20 items of the same name which are drops from Dark Iron Dwarves in the North Wetlands or Loch Modan.
• Fish Oil asks you to bring Grizzby 24 Fish Oil you get from murlocs found in the Wetlands or Hillsbrand.

Furious Thunder

Dropped in the starting zones by various mobs.

• Durotar: Dropped from Gazz'uz, Sarkoth, Zalazane
• Mulgore: Dropped from Mazzranache, Arra'chea, Lurkmane
• Tirisfal Glades: Dropped from Gillgar near Solliden Farmstead
• Dun Morogh: Dropped from Fyodi, Lurkmane
• Teldrassil: Obtained inside Gnarlpine Cache in the Barrow Den
• Elwynn Forest: Dropped from Goldtooth, Mother Fang

Consumed By Rage

Horde + Alliance:

• Found in the Wetlands, obtained from Carrodin who can be found at the end of the Thelgen Rock Caven in the southeastern part of  Dun Algaz.

Frenzied Assault Rune

• Thunder Bluff: Speak with Netali Proudwind at the Spirit Rise and eliminate Mooart who you can find close by.
• Tirisfal Glades: Speak with Penny Hawkins at the inn in Brill and remove Blueheart who you can find in the basement downstairs.
• Orgrimmar: Speak with Zamja at The Drag and kill Gru'ark who can be found outside the cooking hut.
• Ironforge: Talk to Innkeeper Bruuk Barleybeard and kill Bruart who can be found next to the staircase.
• Stormwind: In The Park, you'll need to talk to the Innkeeper and defeat the drunk at the entrance. Return to the innkeeper for your rune.
• Teldrassil: Speak to Innkeeper Keldamyr in Dolanaar and kill the defeat on the second floor for your rune.

Victory Rush Rune

• Durotar: After solving a small jumping puzzle close to the Valley of Trials, simply open the Hidden Cache.
• Mulgore: You can find the Bristleback Loot Cache in the Brambleblade Ravine.
• Tirisfal Glades: Find the spider-filled cave near the starting zone and open the Lost Stash at 24,59.
• Elwynn Forest: At the very end of the Echo Ridge Mine, open the Kobold Stashbox.
• Dun Morogh: Part of the The Lost Rune quest, dropped Frostmane Trolls in Coilridge Valley.
• Teldrassil: Part of the Admist the Shadowed Webs quest. Head to Shadowthread Cave and kill webwood spiders.

Endless Rage Rune

• The Barrens: Pick up the Horde Warbanner at the Crossroads and bring it to Northwatch Hold. You'll find an Alliance banner on top of the hill. Replacing it will cause a mob to appear, defeat it and the rune is yours.
• Silverpine Forest: Inside the Skittering Dark Cave, find and kill the Web Wrap. Kill it and kill the Lost Adventurer spawning from it. He'll drop the Rune.
• Westfall: Drop from Old Murk-Eye.
• Loch Mordan: Loot the Battle Totem off the elite Ogres from Mo'Grosh Stronghold. Now you can use those to challenge the Haren Swifthoof Elite mob for the rune.
• Darkshore: Talk to Lady Sedarax near the Cliffspring River and kill the Twilight Cultists she'll be surrounded by.

Devastate Rune

• Orc & Troll: Bring Severed Centaur Head, Severed Quilboar Head, and Severed Harpy Head to Vahi Bonesplitter on Razor Hill.
• Tauren: Bring Severed Quilboar Head, Severed Harpy Head, and Severed Gnoll Head to Vateya Timberhoof in Bloodhoof Village.
• Forsaken: Bring Severed Bat Head, Severed, Severed Gnoll Head, and Murloc Head to Dorac Graves in the Undercity in the Apothecarium.
• Human: Bring Severed Kobold Head, Severed Murloc Head, and Severed Gnoll Head to Viktoria Woods in Old Town.
• Dwarf and Gnome: Bring Pristine Trogg Heart, Severed Troll Head, and Severed Wendigo Paw to Junni Steelpass in Kharanos.
• Night Elf: Bring Severed Owl Head, Severed Tiger Head, and the Severed Spider Head to Delwynna in Darnassus.

Single-Minded Fury

Horde + Alliance

• Once you are Honored with the Durotar Supply and Logistics or Azeroth Commerce Authority Factions (Horde/Alliance respectively) you can purchase the Rune of Single-Minded Fury from them.

 Quick Strike Rune

• Horde: Talk and purchase the Fishing Harpoon from Klixx in Ratchet then head into the bay and find Bruuz stalking one of the boats. Use the harpoon to kill him and receive the Rune.
• Night Elf: Find the Gnarled Harpoon in Darkshore at 47.8, 16.0 and use it to weaken and kill Paxnozz for the Rune.
• Human: Head to Westfall and kill Defias members to find the Gillsbane. Use it to kill murlocs and loot the Sould of the Sea which you can use at the statue at 25,68 and kill the mob for the Rune.
• Dwarf: Kill Troggs in Loch Modan and find the Cracked Skull-shaped Geode and get hit with the Stonespliter Skullthumpers stun to open it.

Warrior Runes

SoD Warrior Runes Phase 1

Chest

• Flagellation – 25% bonus to physical damage done after Bloodrage and Berserker rage for 12 seconds.
• Blood Frenzy – For applying Bleed damage you gain 3 Rage.
• Raging Blow – Deals double the weapon damage but can only be used after Enrage, Berserker Rage, and Bloodrage.
• Warbringer – Charge, intercept, and Intervene are now useable in any stance and won't impair movement.

Legs

• Furious Thunder – Thunder Clap can be used in all stances and the time between attacks is increased by 6%.
• Consumed By Rage – Enrages and grants 25% melee damage for 12 seconds up to 12 swings once you pass 80 Rage.
• Frenzied Assault – Wielding any 2-hand weapon will increase attack speed by 20%.

Hands

• Victory Rush – An instant attack that heals 10% of your maximum health. It's only available 20 seconds after killing an enemy.
• Endless Rage – 25% more Rage grain from all damage dealt.
• Devastate – Sunder Armor deals 100% weapon damage and increases per application by 10%.
• Single-Minded Fury – Physical damage and movement speed are increased by 10% while dual-wielding.
• Quick Strike – A two-handed weapon attack that also activates all the effects gained from Heroic Strike.

SoD Warrior Runes Phase 2

Head

• Vigilance: Reduces the damage taken by a targeted party member by 3% and transfers 10% of the generated threat to you. Each of the targeted party members' attacks will also reduce your Taunt cooldown. Lasts for 30 minutes.
• Taste for Blood: When Rend causes damage, Overpower will trigger for 1 attack or 9 seconds with a 6-second cooldown.
• Shield Mastery: Physical damage is increased by 10% when a shield is equipped. and reduces the duration of any Disarm effect against the player by 50%. This effect doesn't stack.

Waist

• Blood Surge: Heroic Strike, Bloodthirst, and Whirlwind now have a 30% chance to deduce the cooldown of triggering Slam without any Rage cost.
• Focused Rage: The rage cost of offensive skills is reduced by 3.
• Precise Timing: Slam doesn't have any windup anymore but the cooldown is increased to 6 seconds.

Bracers

• Rampage: Increases attack power by 2% and increases most melee attacks by an additional 2% attack power. The effect can stack up to 5 times and lasts 30 seconds. Can only be used when landing a critical hit.
• Sword and Board: Devestate and Ramage now have a 30% chance to refresh the cooldown of Shield Slam and reduce its cost in rage by 100% for 5 seconds.
• Wrecking Crew: Melee critical hits will cause the player to Enrage. this will increase all damage caused by 10% for 12 seconds. This effect won't stack with Enrage.

Pants:

• Commanding Shout: Increases the total Stamina of all party members within 50 yards by 2 for 2 minutes.

Boots

• Enraged Regeneration: Heals up to 30% of your max health over the course of 10 seconds but can only be used while Enrage, Berserker Rage, or Bloodrage are in effect.
• Intervene: Charge towards a party member and intercept the next ranged or melee attack aimed at them while reducing their threat by 10%.
• Rallying Cry: Grants all party and raid members within a 40-yard range 15% extra health for 10 seconds.
