Warhammer The Old World Starter Boxes Now Live

After months of waiting, Warhammer The Old World Starter Boxes Pre-Order will finally be available, as the Bretonnian and Tomb Kings of Khemri kits will be available on the 6^th of January!

Update: The Old World is now starting to be released around the world, with prices being confirmed. Remember, the starter boxes are not limited run, so you can still get them later.

Warhammer The Old World is the most anticipated Games Workshop title of 2023. The system aiming to resurrect the pre-Age of Sigmar Warhammer Fantasy was announced back in 2019, and after years of waiting, we can get our hands on the new (old?) kits of the Kingdom of Bretionnia and the Tomb Kings of Khemri – as early as January!

Games Workshop announced on the last day of 2023 that the first The Old World boxes become available for pre-order on January 6^th – the first Saturday of the new year! But what exactly can you get to relive the best period of the Mortal Realms in the coming month?

Warhammer: The Old World Core Set – Kingdom of Bretonnia Edition

This box is an incredible starting point for everyone that wants to start – or return to – the Old World with Bretonnia. The box boasts an incredible amount of 76 miniatures, with 75 returning models and the new Lord of Bretonnia on Royal Pegasus – as well as the Core Rulebook, reference sheet, dice, templates, measuring sticks and a Bretonnian transfer sheet.

Warhammer: The Old World Core Set – Tomb Kings of Khemri Edition

The second launch faction will be the Tomb Kings of Khemri, who will arrive as a force of 93 models. 91 of them are plastic versions of the Warhammer Fantasy Battles miniatures, while 2 of them are new: the Tomb Prince and the Liche Priest on Necrolith Bone Dragon. This set will also include all of the same additions as the Bretonnia box, bar the transfer sheets.

If you just need the rulebooks and other supplements, you will be able to purchase them separately to field your old armies again!

This Book is the perfect expansion for Bretonnia players, as it contains lore, two Armies of Infamy and 3 Heroes of Legend.

Battle Standard Bearer on Royal Pegasus

These Paladins are the perfect leaders for your Bretonnian forces, as their Royal Pegasi can bring them where they need to be.

Pegasus Knights

Escorting the Standard Bearer are the plastic Pegasus Knights, and elite unit of any Bretonnian army.

Grail Knights and Grail Knights Command

After ruling the skies, you need some ground support with this kit, which is enough to give you a small force of Grail Knights or a Command squad armed with a Standard Bearer and a Musician.

Battle Pilgrims and Grail Reliquae

The first metal kit of the Bretonnian range available for pre-order next Saturday, which is enough for a smaller force that can be expanded upon with additional Pilgrims.

Mounted Yeomen and Command

Every serf in Bretonnia strives to be a Yeoman, serving as scouts for the main body of the army. While the horses are plastic, their riders are metal, combining the past and future of Warhammer.
