Fortnite: Battle Royale was released on July 21st of 2017 and captured the entire world with its unique gameplay. It took the Battle Royale concept and added structure building, which completely revolutionized the genre.

With the popular title growing along with its fanbase, Epic Games decided to put a sizable amount of prize money into the game. From there, Fortnite Esports grew into a phenomenon and it brought the most talented players to the table.

We used a simple method of weighting LAN results heavily against online results to come up with a list of the top 50 Fortnite players in the entire world. It is worth noting that we recognized the Fortnite World Cup as a focal point of the ranking system. Here is our list of the top 50 Fortnite players across the globe.

50. Owen “Animal” Wright

Animal is a North American player who currently competes under the Sentinels banner. His success in competitive Fortnite is due to his consistency on LAN. He competed with rieo in the duo tournament at WSOE 3. This tournament included high caliber players and the result they produced was a fifth-place finish. Animal went on to compete at the Katowice Royale 2019 hosted by ESL. He finished in sixth place in solos and seventh place in duos with Aspect.

Unfortunately for Animal, he ultimately did not qualify for the Fortnite World Cup. He competed in almost every qualifying week and came up just short. Missing out on the most significant Fortnite tournament to date is a definite setback. Regardless of this, Animal’s LAN performances speak for themselves. This ultra-talented player who will be hard at work in 2020 for the next installment of the Fortnite World Cup.

49. Shawn “clarityG” Washington

ClarityG competes primarily under the NA East banner for Riot Squad Esports. His competitve Fortnite career dates back to late 2018, where he began participating in high stakes tournaments. Some of his notable tournament finishes include an eighth at Secret Skirmish with his duo partner, Anthony. ClarityG’s online tournament history is extensive as well with a sixth place finish at the NA East Gauntlet.

The Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers proved difficult for clarityG, but he pulled through in the end. His first place finish in week seven secured him a spot in the Solo World Cup Finals. ClarityG capped off his qualification endeavor with a runner-up finish in solos week nine. He would stroll into the World Cup with one chance to prove his talent to viewers in attendance at watching from home.

Unfortunately for clarityG, his World Cup experience did not go as intended. He earned five eliminations over six matches and only managed six points overall. ClarityG failed to earn a single elimination or point over his last three matches. The end result for clarityG was a fifty-sixth place finish, yielding $50K USD in prize money. Although the World Cup did not pan out, clarityG still has managed a solid resume and possesses unquestionable talent.

48. Josh “Commandment” Roach

Competing for the widely recognized Team SoloMid is Commandment. His short-lived competitive Fortnite career has bred him into a talented player. With not much noteworthy LAN experience, Commandment has done most of his damage in an online setting. The TSM player’s results include twenty-second in the Scallywag Cup and twenty-second in the World Cup warmup alongside ItsHighSky. Commandment proceeded to endure the World Cup qualifying process.

All it took was one week for Commandment to punch his ticket to New York City for the Fortnite World Cup. He finished in fourth place, behind only Bugha, Dubs and Bizzle. That is an impressive company to be apart of. Commandment attempted to qualify with dedicated duo partner, ItsHighSky, but was ultimately unable to do so. Leading into the Fortnite World Cup, Commandment had a second-place finish in the Trios Cash Cup with ItsHighSky and Kreo.

The Fortnite World Cup provided one opportunity for Commandment to shock the viewers across the globe. Over the six matches played at the World Cup, Commandment put up five eliminations in total on top of match placements of third and seventh place. These highlights earned Commandment a twentieth place finish when the solo competition came to an end. He won $112.5K for this performance. Commandment represented TSM well and earned a spot as one of Fortnite’s top players.

47. Nate “Nate Hill” Hill

Nate Hill of FaZe Clan has seen a fair share of success in his competitive Fortnite endeavor. Along with his partner, Funk, the two continuously showcase their chemistry as a team. Nate Hill and Funk were duo partners prior to joining FaZe, managed a win during week six of the Summer Skirmish. Nate and Funk ceased their duo and came back strong in March with a fourth-place finish at the NA East Gauntlet. With the World Cup season approaching, Nate and Funk wanted to ride the momentum.

The World Cup qualifiers continued their success. Nate and Funk qualified in week four, which guaranteed them a spot in the World Cup Duo Finals. Although Nate Hill did not qualify as a solo, he and Funk were able to compete against other top professional duos. The two amassed eleven eliminations over their six matches. Nate and Funk experienced difficulties earning placement points. The end result was a thirty-first place finish out of fifty duos. Nate and Funk ultimately took home $100K USD.

Overall this placement was a small victory for the constantly underrated, Nate Hill. His history speaks for itself, and he is one-half of one of the best duos. Nate and Funk continued their dominance after World Cup, winning back-to-back iterations of Fortnite Friday. Nate continues to grind Fortnite and remains atop the best players.

46. Nicolas “Nicks” Polonio de Oliveira

Nicks is a professional Fortnite player for Cloud 9, who currently competes in the South American region. Hailing from Brazil, Nicks is one of the few players who successfully qualified for both the solo and duo Fortnite World Cup events. Prior to this, Nicks made a career for himself competing in online tournaments. His resume to date includes a win along with BlackoutZ in the South American Gauntlet.

Nicks went on to feast on the competition during the South American Fortnite World Cup Qualifiers. He achieved victory with his duo partner pfzin in weeks two and six. His solo qualification came in week seven where he also earned the victory. Popular esports organization, Cloud 9, acquired Nicks and he went on to compete at the prestigious World Cup.

Unfortunately for Nicks, his results weren’t what he intended going into the most important Fortnite tournament. His first day yielded a forty-seventh place finish alongside pfzin. These two South American players only managed four eliminations over six matches. Those four eliminations were all the points they ultimately earned. Nicks and pfzin split $100K USD.

The solo competition did not improve much for Nicks. He ended up with nine eliminations and twelve points overall. This performance was good enough for fifty-first place. He tacked on $50K USD in addition to the $50K USD he already won with pfzin. This was not the greatest performance for Nicks, but the double-qualification is an accomplishment in and of itself.

45. Turner “Tfue” Tenney

Tfue involved himself in Fortnite from the very beginning of the game’s life. His recognition spawned from the early days of the Friday Fortnite competitions. He competed alongside long-time duo partner, Dennis “Cloak” Lepore. The two at times seemed unstoppable and proudly represented the FaZe Clan organization at that time. A path to esports supremacy laid itself out for Tfue.

The following of Tfue continued to grow, but this did not stop his competitive fire. He continued participating in all high-level Fortnite competitions as the esports format further developed for the game. Dating back to the fall of 2018, Tfue achieved victory in three of the six weeks during the Fall Skirmish. He went on to win the Fall Skirmish duo competition with Cloakzy. Tfue went on to see consistent results well into 2019.

All eyes were on Tfue heading into the Fortnite World Cup. He qualified only as a solo and thus would need to do all his damage in that format. Unfortunately, Tfue did not achieve his desired results. He only managed to earn seven points in total throughout the competition. This placed him in sixty-seventh and yielded $50K USD in prize money. Tfue remains one of the best in the world despite this result. His career earnings to date exceed $500K USD with much more to come.

44. Callum “itemm” MacGillivray

The United Kingdom’s own itemm has compiled quite a resume in his short competitive Fortnite endeavor. He competed in both iterations of the Katowice Royale 2019. Itemm produced impressive results of twelfth in solos and fifteenth in duos. This is a significant accomplishment as LAN is the separating factory between the top Fortnite players. Itemm joined Eleven Gaming and proceeded to qualify for the Fortnite World Cup.

Itemm’s qualification took place along with Derox in week eight of the duo competition. This guaranteed them a trip to New York City to compete for the massive prize pool. Itemm and Derox went into the duo competition expecting a high placement. They delivered on these expectations with an eighth overall finish. Their thirty-six point performance was courtesy of twenty-one eliminations and as high as a second-place finish.

The prize awarded to eighth place was $375K USD for the two European players to split. Itemm is a glowing representation of what the European region is capable of. He is among the top in terms of the best players from across the pond. Keep an eye out for itemm in competitive Fortnite’s future.

43. Noah “Vivid” Wright

Vivid of Team Liquid has accomplished a lot as a veteran of competitive Fortnite. He has seen his fair share of wins since picking up the game. Vivid had notable wins during the Summer Skirmish in 2018. Over the span of several weeks, Vivid finished in first-place a total of four times in a mixture of duo and solo tournaments. He went on to perform well alongside fellow Team Liquid member, 72hrs, in the NA East Gauntlet and the NA West Luxe Cup. The Secret Skirmish saw Vivid finishing in third place for the solo portion.

Overall to this point, Vivid’s career is impressive. Leading up to the Fortnite World Cup, Vivid continued teaming with 72hrs in hopes of qualifying for the World Cup duos event. This would not come to fruition, but Vivid managed to qualify as a solo in week one. The Fortnite World Cup would not go as planned for Vivid. In spite of his career-long success, he struggled in the spotlight.

Over six matches, Vivid racked up just three eliminations. It appears as though he took the cautious and placement heavy approach during his World Cup run. Vivid did achieve a ninth-place finish in one match, but his points totaled out to thirteen when the curtains closed. A thirty-eighth overall finish granted $50K USD to Vivid. All things considered, Vivid finished ahead of several other top professional players. He will undoubtedly have much more to provide in the future given his proven talent.

42. Yan “Fwexy” Kaur

Fwexy is a lesser-known player out of Germany who has seen some high-level competition in professional Fortnite. At Katowice Royale 2019, he took fourteenth in the duo tournament along with Domentos. Fwexy soon teamed up with Letw1k3 and qualified for the Fortnite World Cup as a duo. He also qualified as a solo with a ninth-place finish in the week seven qualifier. The opportunity presented itself for Fwexy to represent Europe in two instances at the World Cup.

Representing Gambit Esports, Fwexy first competed in the duo competition at the World Cup. He and Letw1k3 combined for seven total eliminations. The two had their best finish in ninth-place and wound up with twelve points. This effort landed them in thirty-second place overall and earned them $100K USD in prize money. Fwexy and Letw1k3 had some games where they just missed on placement points. This contributed to their final placement.

The solo competition provided similar results as the duo tournament for Fwexy. Over six matches, Fwexy tallied eight eliminations and finished eighth in match three. He finished with sixteen points and in thirty-first place to conclude the tournament. This finish added an additional $50K USD to his winnings. Double-qualifying for the event was difficult as its own task, but Fwexy accomplished that feat. He positively showcased his skills on the world’s stage.

41. Mark “Letw1k3” Danilov

Letw1k3 is a fourteen-year-old competitive Fortnite player from Russia. He competes for Gambit Esports and is one of the best young talents in Fortnite. Letw1k3’s career has seen him finish in first place at the Game Planet Royal Mix and the European Gauntlet. He and longtime partner Fwexy make up one of the top duos in professional Fortnite. Letw1k3 punched his first ticket to the Fortnite World Cup as a solo in week one of the qualifiers. He became a double-qualifier alongside Fwexy in week four.

The World Cup did not yield the best results for Letw1k3. He and Fwexy produced an average performance in the duo format with a thirty-second place finish. En route to this finish, they put up twelve eliminations and finished in thirty-second place. The award for thirty-second was $100K USD in prize money. Letw1k3 went on to double down in the solo competition against the world’s best individuals.

Solos did not provide much of a change for Letw1k3 at the World Cup. Over six matches, he finished with just eleven points and no placements inside the top thirty. He did produce eleven eliminations, which all came over the final four games. The young Russian phenom still has quite a career ahead of him. The performance at the World Cup was underwhelming, but managing to double-qualify and see at least moderate success makes him a top player. Letw1k3 still has quite some time to grow into even more of a dynamic competitor.

40. Brendan “Falconer” Falconer

Falconer’s documented competitive Fortnite career dates back to early 2019. He participated in the NA West Luxe Cup and Scallywag Cup with Ramos1x, with results of twenty-ninth and thirty-eighth. He rose to relevancy during the Fortnite World Cup qualifying period. Along with Arkhram1x of 100 Thieves, Falconer finished in first place in the NA West week two qualifier. He was unable to qualify as a solo but would participate in the Fortnite World Cup nonetheless.

Falconer and Arkhram1x primed themselves for an impressive World Cup. The two achieved twenty total eliminations over their six matches played at the tournament It was quite a performance out of Falconer and Akrhram1x. Their consistent placements throughout the competition solidified them in a top finishing spot. Two fourth-place finishes and a finish contributing significantly to their forty-four points overall.

The NA West team finished the Fortnite World Cup duo competition in fifth place, which granted $900K USD to split. Falconer earned well over $400K USD in his competitive Fortnite career. He solidified himself as a high-level Fortnite player with his showing at the Fortnite World Cup.

39. Trevor “Funk” Siegler

Funk involved himself in competitive Fortnite beginning in mid-2018. He and Nate Hill are both FaZe Clan members and have competed as a duo in many tournaments. Funk and Nate have seen a great deal of success as a duo. Funk built himself into a relatively successful solo as well. His highest finish as a solo came in the NA East Gauntlet, where he came in second place. Funk’s past performances paved the way toward even more opportunities.

The World Cup lead up saw Funk and Nate continuing on as a team. Their qualification came in week four. Funk also managed a solo qualification in week three. Only the highest level competitors managed to qualify for both solo and duo at the World Cup. This meant high expectations for Funk as he had two shots at millions of dollars.

As a duo, the two FaZe Clan members finished in thirty-first place. Overall they combined for eleven eliminations, but no solid placements or any Victory Royales. They were undoubtedly behind the curve early, and could not play well enough down the stretch. Nate and Funk walked away splitting $100K USD for their efforts. Funk performed below expectations in solos. He achieved no points through six matches and ended in ninety-ninth place earning $50K USD. Nate and Funk continue to team together and dominate Fortnite Fridays. Funk still sits in the upper-echelon of professional Fortnite players.

38. Pierre “Vato” Pesey

Vato of Switzerland ranks among the best European players in competitive Fortnite. Competing for LeStream Esport, Vato has seen a fair share of LAN tournaments in his time. He competed at the Katowice Royale 2019, finishing in twentieth and sixth respectively in solos and duos. Consistent placements brought Vato into the Fortnite World Cup qualification period. He and his longtime duo, Skite, dedicated themselves to qualify for the World Cup.

Their best finish through the three qualifiers they participated in was a second-place finish in ten. This effort was just enough for Vato to join Skite at the World Cup to compete for $3M USD. Vato and Skite finished in tenth place to the tune of twelve eliminations and three top-five placements. A tenth place finish earned Vato and Skite $225K to split. This added to the track record already established by Vato.

Overall it has been a solid Fortnite career for Vato. LAN experience is a determining factor in any player’s status as a professional. Vato has displayed consistency since breaching into the competitive Fortnite scene. He is yet another European player in the long list that continues to grow.

37. Domeniks “Domentos” Bunts

Competing out of the European region is Domentos of Team Secret. The former Fortnite Friday and Summer Skirmish winner has long been competing in competitive Fortnite. Domentos has been a top contender from the beginning, and his LAN experience is nothing to shake your head at. He competed in both iterations of the Secret Skirmishing, producing results of thirteenth in duos and twenty-first in solos. Domentos also competed at the Katowice Royale for duos and solos. He finished thirtieth in solos and fourteenth in duos. Needless to say, Domentos is a longtime Fortnite competitor.

Domentos’ career then carried him to the Fortnite World Cup qualifier. He competed in the three solo qualifiers and one duo qualifier alongside Pate1k. Domentos ultimately qualified only as a solo, but still had his shot to cement himself as one of the Fortnite greats. His Fortnite World Cup run resulted in a respectable twentieth place finish. Domentos put up five eliminations and his best finish in any match was fifth place for a total of twenty points.

He did what he could, and twentieth is not a bad result for a player of Domentos’ caliber. His efforts earned him $50K USD. The post World Cup life has already been good to Domentos. He qualified for the Fortnite Champion Series Grand Finals with Fwexy and letw1k3. The future looks promising for the talented Latvian.

36. Thomas “Tschinken” Horak

Tschinken represents Eleven Gaming and has an extensive history in competitive Fortnite. His experience in a LAN environment is notable, as he competed in both iterations of the Katowice Royale in 2019. Tschinken finished in forty-sixth for the solo competition and twelfth for the duo competition. His dedicated duo partner from the beginning has been fellow Eleven Gaming member, Stompyy.

The Fortnite World Cup provided another opportunity for Tschinken to showcase his ability on LAN. The qualifying period proved successful for Tschinken, as both he and Stompyy had two first-place finishes and two second-place finishes as a team. The hype heading into World Cup for these two reached its height. Stompy already proved himself as a top player and now Tschinken wanted the same.

The Eleven Gaming boys were looking for an exceptional finish.They played six total matches and completed eleven eliminations in total. Their highest placement in a single match was a sixth-place finish in match two. Tschinken and Stompyy ultimately produced a decent performance. Their efforts yielded a twenty-fifth place finish, which awarded them $100K USD.

35. Nathan “Nayte” Berqignol

Competing for LeStream Esport is the Frenchman, Nayte. His Fortnite competitive career highlights include some minor LAN experience. At La Catalane 2019 in France, Nayte and partner at the time, Spk, finished in fifth place. Unfortunately for European players, there are not many opportunities for LAN tournaments. Nevertheless, Nayte’s goal leading into the Fortnite World Cup was to qualify. He did so in week one, where he did so as a solo out of the European region. Nayte attempted but was unable to qualify for duos.

Representing his country of France, Nayte was seeking to shock the world in New York City at the World Cup. This determining factor drove Nayte all the way to an eighth-place finish. His statistics included eleven eliminations and as high as a sixth-place finish. Overall this performance earned Nayte $375K USD. He further added to the notion that European players are no joke.

The list of greatly talented European players is endless. It sometimes almost seems that the Europeans can really go toe-to-toe with even the best North American players. Nayte did a great job representing France and Europe at the World Cup.

34. Keenan “Rhux” Santos

Former League of Legends professional player, Rhux, has competed in Fortnite since mid-2018. Currently competing for World’s Best Gaming, Rhux’s career to date includes some impressive results at  WSOE 3 and the Fortnite World Cup. At WSOE 3, he competed with World Cup Solos runner-up Psalm, and the two took fourth place overall. Rhux performed well at the Scallywag Cup for NA West with Pika, where they ultimately took second place.

The World Cup qualifiers elevated Rhux’s name to another level. In the hotly contested NA West region, he managed to qualify as a solo in week five with a second place finish in points. This guaranteed that he would represent WBG and the NA West region proudly at the Fortnite World Cup. Many attempted this same path unsuccessfully.

The World Cup arrived and Rhux only had one shot at supremacy in the solos competition. He wound up with eleven eliminations in total and his best finish was fourth place in the first match. Over the six matches played, Rhux amounted to twenty-three points, which placed him in eleventh overall. He took home $150K USD for his troubles and solidified himself as one of the best NA West players without a doubt.

33. Hayden “Elevate” Krueger

Elevate is a Canadian professional Fortnite player for 100 Thieves. His career has consisted of successful duo competitions with long-time duo partner, Ceice. Their most significant achievement heading into the Fortnite World Cup was a victory at WSOE 3. Elevate and Ceice have some of the best communication and game sense in all of competitive Fortnite. Elevate qualified for the World Cup along with Ceice in week six of the NA East qualifier with a first-place finish.

The Fortnite World Cup is where Elevate would further increase his name recognition. Along with Ceice, the two provided the performance of a lifetime. Elevate and Ceice amassed eighteen eliminations and their worst finish was forty-third in match one. This was far and away one of the best duo performances of the entire tournament. The consistent placements in each match yielded excellent results for the 100T duo.

Elevate and Ceice earned $1.8M USD for their outstanding plays at the World Cup. This tournament exists as just another in the chapter of this duo. They are truly one of the best we have seen to date in competitive Fortnite. The future is bright for Elevate should he continue his solid individual gameplay.

32/31. Dave “Rojo” Jong and Jaden “Wolfiez” Ashman

Not much is readily available in terms of history for Rojo and Wolfiez of Lazarus Esports. They respectively compete out of the Netherlands and the United Kingdom under the European region for Fortnite competitions. The World Cup qualifier provided their breakthrough into the enormous stage that Fortnite Esports provides. In the final week of qualification, Rojo and Wolfiez achieved first place guaranteeing them a trip to play in the Fortnite World Cup.

This proved to be an opportunity of a lifetime for the two European competitors. Their six-match run yielded four top-ten finishes, and no finishes worse than sixteenth. Rojo and Wolfiez provided one of the most consistent stretches in the entire competition. The Euros added eighteen elimination points to their overall tally, which put them at forty-seven total points for the tournament.

The end result for Rojo and Wolfiez was second place in the duo competition. They finished just four points behind champions, aqua and Nyhrox. Nevertheless, this endeavor proved that two lesser-known players can burst onto the professional scene and give popular players a run for their money. You will not hear any regrets out of the winners of $2.25M USD as they look to replicate this success in the future.

30. Anthony “ZexRow” Colandro

ZexRow of Team SoloMid is a veteran of competitive Fortnite. He and dedicated duo partner, Vinny1x, participated in nearly every significant Fortnite tournament to date. They rose to prominence at Katowice Royale 2019 duo tournament, with a third-place finish. ZexRow’s solo endeavors yielded results of twenty-first at WSOE 3 and twenty-second at both Secret Skirmish 2019 and Katowice Royale 2019. In recent months, ZexRow and Vinny1x teased a duo split heading into the Fortnite World Cup. This is one of the longest-running duos to date was ticking.

It took ten weeks, but ZexRow and Vinny1x finally qualified for the World Cup. The two put up the performance of a lifetime in week ten to secure a spot at the World Cup. As a long-time duo is commonly capable of, ZexRow and Vinny1x played extremely well in New York City. The two North American players achieved an ultra-rare Victory Royale in match two of the duo competition. It was in an impressive win where they gained height and thinned out the remainder of the lobby.

ZexRow and Vinny1x compiled a total of fifteen eliminations over six matches. Their downfall was three of six matches with no eliminations. The two TSM members finished in ninth place overall and earned $225K USD to split. This solid performance was a worthy swan song for the duo. Although the team of ZexRow and Vinny1x are done, they have effectively left their mark in Fortnite history.

29. Karim “Airwaks” Benghalia

As a former professional League of Legends player, Airwaks has quickly ascended to the top of professional Fortnite. He is without a doubt one of the best players competing in the European region. Competing for Solary, Airwaks has seen much success since transitioning to Fortnite. He and his duo, Nikof, finished in eleventh place at the Katowice Royale 2019 tournament. Both Airwaks and Nikof followed this up with a tenth place finish in the European Luxe Cup.

This all built up to the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers, where he and Nikof secured a spot in the week six qualifier. The duo of Airwaks and Nikof did not achieve the success they hoped for at the World Cup. The two maintained consistency throughout the tournament and compiled ten eliminations between them. With only one finish worse than twenty-fourth, Airwaks and Nikof seemed to prime themselves for a high placement. Ultimately, Airwaks and Nikof finished in twenty-ninth place overall.

The two would split $100K USD at the end of the duo competition. In spite of the lackluster performance, Airwaks did what he could with his only opportunity at the World Cup. Making the transition to a game like League of Legends to Fortnite is unfathomable. Airwaks has managed to achieve heights in two different competitive esports titles.

28. Nate “Kreo” Krue

Kreo is an American professional Fortnite player. He currently competes under the Lazarus Esports banner and does not have much LAN experience at this point in his history. He does, however, hold some high finishes in Summer Skirmish and Fall Skirmish back in 2018. In spite of his lack of LAN gameplay, Kreo needed to make it to the world stage. He ultimately qualified for the Fortnite World Cup. Kreo did so in week five of the NA East competition, and safely secured his trip to New York City.

Three of Kreo’s matches at the Fortnite World Cup yielded zero eliminations and no placement points. He performed well in his other three matches, wherein two of them, he achieved a Victory Royale and a second-place finish. Eight eliminations are all Kreo would need over his six matches to finish highly at the World Cup. The Victory Royale proved to be the true difference-maker as Kreo finished with thirty points.

The end result for Kreo was fourth-place, granting him $1.05M USD. Not too bad of a payout seeing as Kreo only qualified as a solo. Considering his shaky past, Kreo proved his resilience in competitive Fortnite with this showing. All in all, the success came to Kreo and his Victory Royale on the world’s stage is a memory that will last a lifetime.

27. Nicolas “Nikof” Frejavise

France’s own, Nikof, compiled quite a career in competitive Fortnite. He currently competes for Solary along with the likes of Airwaks. Nikof competed in the Katowice Royale 2019 tournament both as a solo and with Airwaks as a duo. As a solo, Nikof finished in forty-fourth place overall. He and Airwaks took eleventh place. These performances elevated Nikof to another level in professional Fortnite.

From April to June of 2019, Nikof competed both as a solo and as a duo with Airwaks to try and make the Fortnite World Cup. He and Airwaks had their day in May of 2019, where they achieved second place in the week six qualifier. The Solary sponsored duo secured a spot in New York City for the World Cup. This was a moment that could further elevate Nikof’s status as one of the best players in the world.

Nikof and Airwaks ultimately took twenty-ninth place at the Fortnite World Cup. Their run included ten eliminations and just one top ten finish. In total, they earned fifteen points through all six games. All in all in was an underwhelming, yet relatively successful endeavor. The two European players pocketed $100K USD in total prize money. The Nikof and Airwaks duo will continue to grow, as will Fortnite.

26. Vinny “Vinny1x” Gilligan

Vinny1x is a current professional Fortnite player for Team SoloMid. As a solo competitor, Vinny has achieved the ultimate height of competitive Fortnite. He finished in first place at the Katowice Royale 2019 solo tournament. On top of this, he and duo partner ZexRow finished in twenty-first at WSOE 3 and third at the Katowice Royale 2019 duo tournament. The Fortnite World Cup likely was the last time we will see he and ZexRow compete as a duo.

Leading into the World Cup, Vinny and ZexRow struggled to qualify. In week ten of the NA West qualifier, the TSM duo finished in second place. This finish locked up a spot for them at the Fortnite World Cup. This would effectively be the last time fans would watch as these two competed at the highest level.

The two TSM representatives performed extremely well at the World Cup. Over six matches, they managed fifteen eliminations as well as a Victory Royale. They vaulted to the top of the leaderboard and remained there through the end of the tournament. The end result was a ninth-place finish and $225K USD to the duo. Vinny has proven himself as a winner in both solos and duos, which places him at the top of competitive Fortnite.

25. Julio “Pika” Cesar

Representing the North American region, Pika is a competitive Fortnite player for World Best Gaming. His documented career includes high placements both on LAN and online. Pika competed with Joel619 at WSOE 3, finishing in thirty-sixth place. He went on to compete in several online tournaments alongside Rhux, with their highest placement being second place at the NA West Scallywag Cup. They also achieved third place in the NA East Luxe Cup.

The solo qualifying period for the Fortnite World Cup treated Pika well. In week seven of the NA West qualifier, he finished in first place. This result locked up a seat at the Fortnite World Cup for Pika. He performed well at the World Cup where he competed only in the solo event. He put up ten eliminations and twenty-one points after six matches.

Fortnite tournament history has clearly treated Pika well. Not a lot of opportunities exist for players to showcase their skills on LAN. The Fortnite World Cup presented itself and Pika took full advantage of this golden opportunity. It’s certainly a small sample size, but Pika’s high placement solidify him as a top player in competitive Fortnite.

24. Clement “Skite” Danglot

Competing for LeStream Esport, Skite is one of the top European Fortnite players in the game’s short history. Some of Skite’s career highlights include a win at both the European Winter Royale Qualifiers and Finals. On top of this, he and Vato won the Scallywag Cup with the Fortnite World Cup in their sights. Results do not lie, and Skite has made a career of impressive finishes.

Skite became added himself to the list of double-qualified competitors for the Fortnite World Cup. He finished third in the week nine solo qualifier and fourth in the week ten duo qualifier with Vato. He secured himself the opportunity of a lifetime where he stood to earn hundreds of thousands of dollars. Skite had one of the best overall performances from any player at the World Cup.

The European duo put up twelve total eliminations. Their best placements included a third, fifth and seventh, earning them much needed placement points. Skite and Vato ultimately finished in tenth place, which granted them $225K USD in winnings. As we have seen in the past, consistency in Fortnite breeds success. Skite and Vato got the job done and stuck to their strategy.

Skite proceeded to play in the solo competition as well. This provided even more success for the Frenchman. All it took was four eliminations for Skite to achieve a high placement. With one Victory Royale and a third-place finish, Skite somehow finished in seventh place overall. It was not the most exciting performance, but Skite compiled twenty-six points in total and walked away with $525K USD. It was quite an achievement for Skite at the highest level of Fortnite.

23. Huynh “Kinstaar” Duong

Competing for team Solary, Kinstaar is a journeyman in competitive Fortnite. There aren’t many tournaments that Kinstaar has not been apart of. He’s accomplished victory in such tournaments as Summer Skirmish 2018, Fall Skirmish 2018 and also took third as a solo at the Katowice Royale 2019. Kinstaar is truly a player who loves to compete in high-level Fortnite tournaments.

Kinstaar competed in all, but one week of the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers. He ultimately added himself to the list of double-qualifiers. This accomplishment came with a fourth-place finish in week six alongside duo partner, Hunter. His solo qualification came in week seven, and thus Kinstaar was ready to square off against the best Fortnite players in the world.

The Fortnite World Cup yielded respectable results for Kinstaar. His duo competition run with Hunter landed them in twenty-third place overall. The two managed twelve eliminations and their best placement was sixth in the final match. This finish awarded Kinstaar and Hunter a total of $100K USD to split. Kinstaar next competed in the solo competition where he hoped to improve on the duo finish.

The solo competition went about as well as the duo competition for Kinstaar. He relied heavily on placement as he only managed seven eliminations. Kinstaar had a fifteenth and sixteenth place finish during his six-match run. All in all, this would place Kinstaar in twenty-sixth at the end of the solo tournament. He added $50K USD more onto his tournament total. His double-qualification and moderate performance help maintain his status as one of the best that European Fortnite has to offer.

22. Cody “Clix” Conrod

Clix is undoubtedly one of the best players competing in Fortnite today. At just fourteen years of age, Clix has rapidly ascended to the top in the competitive landscape. The young American is yet another Fortnite player that was able to double-qualify for the World Cup. He did so in week nine on his own and in week six alongside Sceptic. Clix did not have a finish worse than twenty-third through all rounds of the World Cup qualifiers.

When the World Cup arrived, Clix performed well and achieved moderate results. He and Sceptic placed finish inside the top forty in the duo finals, winning them each $50K USD. Eight eliminations and one top twenty finish led to a thirty-fifth place finish. Clix played marginally better in the solo finals. The talented Misfits Gaming representative finished with ten total eliminations along with a sixth and eleventh place finish. Clix ended up with $112.5K USD for his efforts in the solo competition.

To this point in his career, Clix has earned over $190K USD. He is one of the more mechanically gifted players in all of Fortnite. Although naturally a better solo player, Clix is still young and has a lot to learn as he matures into a true professional Fortnite player. Popular streamers are taking notice as Turner “Tfue” Tenney teamed with Clix in the Trios Cash Cup. His consistent placements in high-level competitions are impressive and there are no signs of him stopping any time soon.

21. Harrison “psalm” Chang

The king of the meta is none other than psalm of Counter Logic Gaming. Having played professional Heroes of the Storm previously, psalm is no stranger to high-level competitive gaming. He has seen some solid results online, but his LAN results separate him from the other pros. At WSOE 3, psalm took fourth place with Rhux as his duo partner. Psalm went on to participate in the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers, where he secured his spot in week three of NA East.

Psalm’s golden opportunity presented itself on Sunday of the Fortnite World Cup. He went up against some of the most technical players and still stuck to his strategy. It was not the flashiest performance, but psalm did what he set out to do. He focused primarily on rotations and mobility to secure high placements. At the end of the day, psalm produced only five eliminations over all six matches. With placements of third, first and eleventh, psalm finished as a runner-up only to Bugha.

He never once strayed from his method and took home a lot of money for his efforts. The prize money awarded to second place for the Fortnite World Cup was $1.8M USD. Psalm has made a career of exploiting Fortnite’s holes. In this regard, psalm cemented himself as a top player.

20. Emil “Nyhrox” Bergquist

Formerly of Cooler Esport, Nyhrox is a Norweigan professional Fortnite player. Nyhrox is an under the radar type of player, who has competed mainly in smaller tournaments up until July of 2018. His best career finishes to this point are a sixth in the European Scallywag Cup and an eighth in the European World Cup Warmup. He partnered up with Austrian player, aqua, as they went on to endure the Fortnite World Cup qualifying period.

Nyhrox and aqua qualified in week four during this period, finishing in third place. This secured them a spot at the Fortnite World Cup, where their lives changed forever. The two Europeans came out of the World Cup shining, with two Victory Royales and twenty-three eliminations. This proved to be a winning effort on the side of Nyhrox and aqua. The two pocketed the grand prize of $3M USD and did so in style.

Although Nyhrox did not qualify as a solo, it made no difference as being the first Fortnite World Cup duo champion is a lifetime achievement. Winning the World Cup is a lifetime achievement. This sort of performance opens up the door to a fruitful future in esports. The name Nyhrox will remain in the Fortnite Esports history books forever.

19. Nick “Aspect” McGuire

Asepct’s build his career upon his outstanding placements both on LAN and in an online environment. He currently competes under the Sentinels organization along with players such as Carose, Bugha and Animal. Aspect has seen multiple wins and impressive results since the beginning of his Fortnite career. He’s achieved first place in the Fall Skirmish with LeNain, Luxe Cup and World Cup Warmup also with his organizational teammate, Animal. Aspect has compiled quite a resume since entering into the Fortnite competitive scene.

In addition to successful online endeavors, Aspect competed in the Katowice Royale 2019 duo and solo competition. He finished in sixty-seventh and seventh place respectively. Aspect achieved this yet again alongside fellow Sentinels member, Animal. Aspect’s tournament placements are nothing short of exceptional. Qualifying to play in the Fortnite World Cup presented itself as the next obstacle for Aspect.

The true measuring stick of a Fortnite player’s career is the Fortnite World Cup. Only the absolute best players managed to make it to New York City for the competition. Aspect put forth a strong effort but did not initially qualify for the World Cup. His best finish over the qualifying period came in solos week nine, where he finished in seventh place and successfully made the cut for the World Cup. Aspect’s Solo World Cup experience resulted in a sixty-first place finish. He produced just six eliminations over six matches and his best finish was a ninth place. Overall, Aspect won $50K USD, adding to his already successful career.

18. Dmitri “mitr0” Van de Vrie

Mitr0 of Team Atlantis, is a player from the Netherlands and is well-known in the Fortnite community. He has seen his fair share of online tournament wins with duo partners such as K1nzell, Magin, Svennoss and Mongraal. In a LAN environment, Mitr0 finished in fifth place at the ESL Katowice Royale 2019 with Khuna. After connecting with fellow European player, Mongraal, the two became an unstoppable force.

The Fortnite World Cup provided the opportunity for mitr0 to expand upon his already successful LAN resume. With Mongraal as a teammate, mitr0 qualified for the World Cup during the week two qualifying event. His attempts to qualify as a solo proved unsuccessful, but mitr0 was still World Cup-bound. With many eyes on both mitr0 and Mongraal, it was the perfect scenario to prove their talents and cast out any doubt people had about their abilities.

At the Fortnite World Cup, mitr0 and Mongraal continued their dominance. The two were elimination machines, putting up twenty-five in total. On top of these eliminations, mitr0 and Mongraal had a third and ninth-place finish in two of their matches, which elevated their final placement. These talented players achieved forty points and sixth place when the duo tournament concluded. This finish paid out $450K USD to the European studs. Mitr0 continues to showcase his skills at the highest level and does so in style.

17. Timothy “Bizzle” Miller

Bizzle involved himself in competitive Fortnite early in the going. To date, he has been one of the most consistent players both on LAN and online. In both duos and solos, Bizzle has a slew of second-place finishes along with some first-place finishes. This tournament history includes a solo win at the Secret Skirmish 2019. For the Fortnite World Cup, Bizzle qualified only as a solo. Bizzle’s successful history enforced the belief that he could very well win. It was not the tournament Bizzle hoped for with a twenty-third place finish.

His Fortnite World Cup run yielded a total of nine eliminations and one top-five. Twenty-third is not bad all things considered. Bizzle most certainly had higher expectations for himself. Nonetheless, many of the best players in the world only managed one or two points over six games. Bizzle remains as one of the best players in all of Fortnite purely from his experience and consistent placements in high-level tournaments.

In terms of career earnings, Bizzle still remains near the top. His twenty-third place finish won him $50K USD. This added to his total career earnings, which currently sits at $600K USD. Bizzle is one of those players that is always lurking in the big tournaments. Expect to see much more of this as competitive Fortnite continues to change.

16. Thiago “k1nG” Lapp

The lone Argentinian on this list is none other than k1nG. The storyline of the Fortnite World Cup other than Bugha’s victory was, in fact, k1nG. The thirteen-year-old Argentinian showed up nearly every opponent he came into contact with. K1nG mercilessly engaged in one-on-one fights, leaving opponents no chance. Competing in the South America region will cause almost any player to fly under the radar. K1nG might very well be the best player in that region by a large margin.

K1nG cleaned up during the World Cup qualifying period with finishes of fourth, seventh, third, second, sixth, seventh and first in both the duo and solo format. He secured his Fortnite World Cup position several times over and competed alongside xOwN in duos. New York City is where k1nG would go on to showcase his ability on the world’s stage. K1nG and xOwN were quiet during the duo competition, where they finished in thirty-ninth place, earning six total eliminations. The South Americans earned $100K USD to split for their dual efforts.

The solo competition launched k1nG into the limelight. Over six matches, k1nG amassed an impressive twenty-one eliminations. The term “w-key” coined itself because of players like k1nG, who manage to out skill all opponents in their path. K1nG’s highest placement through six matches was twentieth, which truly shows how important his eliminations were. The gameplay by k1nG generated thirty points and a fifth overall finish. The thirteen-year-old went home with $900K USD in prize money. To say that k1nG has quite a future ahead of him in competitive gaming would be an understatement.

15. Theo “Crue” Ferrer

Hailing from Sweden is Crue, who is a recently new free agent in competitive Fortnite. His career highlight is his performance in the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers. For the European region, Crue added himself to the list of extremely talented players. In week four of the online qualifier, Crue teamed up with duo partner, Chapix, and managed a fourth-place finish. This secured Crue’s first spot at the Fortnite World Cup. Crue became one of the few players to double-qualify for the World Cup with his showing in the solo week nine qualifier.

Crue went into the World Cup flying under the radar. With such players as MrSavage, benjyfishy and Mongraal representing the European scene, many overlooked Crue. The duo tournament came first, where Crue and Chapix put up nine eliminations in total. Their placements per match were on point, as their best finishes were a seventh and twelfth place. Crue and Chapix could not break the top twenty and ultimately settled for twenty-second place. Their performance earned them $100K USD.

On day three of the Fortnite World Cup, Crue squared off against ninety-nine of the best Fortnite players in the world. He had three games with zero eliminations but still managed an impressive result. Crue compiled twelve total eliminations and achieved a Victory Royale in the final match of the Fortnite World Cup. Crue accumulated twenty-seven points, which landed him in sixth place. He took home $600K USD bringing his grand total to $650K USD. Crue has built himself a strong foundation in competitive Fortnite.

14. River “Riversan” Handley

Riversan of Team Liquid is having a career that many Fortnite players would only dream of. His career highlights are some of the best you will see out of any of the top professionals. In March of 2019, Riversan competed in the solo and duo Gauntlet tournament for NA West hosted by Epic Games. Riversan won the duo tournament with partner Kunichi, and later won the solo tournament. Being a back-to-back winner in one day of competitive Fortnite is an unimaginable feat.

The Scallywag Cup, Blackheart Cup and World Cup Warmup produced more consistent placements for Riversan. He went on to join Team Liquid just as the World Cup season kicked into gear. The newest Team Liquid member qualified in week one and safely secured a spot in New York City at the World Cup Finals. Riversan attempted but failed to qualify for the duo competition with Persecute. In this instance, he was riding solo into the World Cup looking to do damage.

The Fortnite World Cup proved a successful endeavor for Riversan. Nine total eliminations and a second-place finish were the highlights of Riversan’s World Cup journey. His performance returned twenty-four points and a ninth-place overall finish. Riversan walked away with a cool $300K USD proving just how skilled he is of a player. The Team Liquid member is rapidly ascending the list of top Fortnite professionals.

13. Davis “Ceice” McClellan

Representing 100 Thieves is Ceice, who was one of the few players to double-qualify for the Fortnite World Cup. His career to this point in Fortnite includes a victory at WSOE 3 against some of the world’s best players. Ceice qualified as a solo in week one of the World Cup qualifiers, and alongside fellow 100 Thieves member, Elevate, in week four. Ceice and Elevate went on to finish first in the qualifier in week six further proving their talent as a duo. A lot can be said for Ceice in his illustrious competitive career.

The Fortnite World Cup provided a chance for Ceice to showcase just how talented he is on a large scale. He and Elevate placed consistently high throughout the competition and managed a total of eighteen eliminations. This factored heavily into Ceice and Elevate’s ultimate third-place finish. Ceice pocketed $900K USD and had, even more, to play for. Solos did not produce as good of results as the duo competition. Even so, Ceice’s skills carried him to sixtieth place and an additional $50K USD added to his already accumulated $900K USD.

Ceice has earned a documented total of just over $1M USD from tournaments in competitive Fortnite. This puts him in the upper-echelon of professional Fortnite players. His consistency through World Cup qualifiers and impressive endgame plays exemplify exactly how talented Ceice is. There is a lot of promise that comes along with Ceice as he has quickly risen to the point of competing, and winning major tournaments.

12. Klaus “Stompy” Konstanzer

A lesser-known talent in the European scene is stompy of Eleven Gaming. He has had a fair share of impressive performances since emerging onto the competitive Fortnite scene. He participated in the European Gauntlet, Scallywag Cup, Blackheart Cup and Luxe Cup. Stompy’s respective placements in those tournaments were eighth, ninth, second and seventh. Two of those finishes were in duos alongside his long-time duo partner, Tschinken.

During the Fortnite World Cup qualification period, stompy emerged as one of the top players in  Europe. He placed no worse than eleventh-place in any of the qualifiers. Stompy’s success leading into the World Cup secured him a spot in the duo and the solo portion of the event. At the World Cup, stompy first competed with Tschinken in the duo competition. The two European competitors racked up eleven total eliminations and as high as a sixth-place finish.

The end result for the E11 duo was a twenty-fifth place finish, awarding $100K USD to them. Stompy proceeded to participate in the solo competition at the World Cup. He compiled ten eliminations in total, and his best finish in any match was third place. This performance ultimately placed stompy in fourteenth place for the solo tournament, which earned him $150K USD in prize money. Stompy solidified himself as one of the best Fortnite players in the world through his impressive showings in online tournaments and at the World Cup.

11. Martin “MrSavage” Foss Andersen

Mirroring the career of duo partner, Benjyfishy, MrSavage is a European player with much success in competitive Fortnite. He has won mainly duo tournaments with the aforementioned Benjyfishy under the NRG Esports helm. MrSavage’s Fortnite career highlights include two first-place finishes in both the World Cup Warmup and the World Cup qualifier. The chemistry and teamwork developed by MrSavage and Benjyfishy is their key to victory. MrSavage successfully qualified to compete in both duos and solos in New York City.

The Fortnite World Cup provided an opportunity for MrSavage to showcase his skill set to over one-hundred thousand viewers. He once again paired up with Benjyfishy, and the two performed quite well in the World Cup duo competition. To the tune of seventeen eliminations, the dynamic duo took fourteenth place overall to earn $100K USD between the two of them. This continued a trend of the two Euros competing at the highest level, and against the best talent.

MrSavage played in the solo tournament the following day. Although the results were not as impressive as day one, the Norweigan did earn six eliminations over six matches, ultimately placing him in twenty-ninth. MrSavage pocketed $50K USD on top of what was won in duos. His skills are apparent and he navigates endgame as good as any of the top players. MrSavage is without a doubt a player with an impressive bag of tricks.

10. Noam “Megga” Ackenine

Megga of FaZe Clan has built himself quite a career since catapulting into competitive Fortnite. He caught fire alongside duo partner and eventual FaZe Clan member, Dubs. The two players made a name for themselves with a second-place finish in the Scallywag Cup. Megga and Dubs parlayed this performance into a third-place finish at the NA East World Cup Warmup. Their name recognition grew after signing with the FaZe organization.

Megga worked hard over the ten-week qualifying period for the World Cup. Both he and Dubs qualified several times for the duo portion of the World Cup with their intelligent playstyle. Megga qualified as a solo in week six, and thus joined the shortlist of dual-qualified players. He went into the World Cup with all the confidence in the world after gaining steam over his shortlived competitive history.

The Fortnite World Cup provided a stage for Megga to showcase his skills. Although he and Dubs play conservative, it would work in their favor for the duo competition. The two FaZe members put up sixteen total eliminations over their six World Cup matches. Four of their matches provided finishes of no worse than fifteenth-place. Megga’s abilities transitioned well to a high-intensity LAN format. Megga and Dubs earned $375K USD in prize money.

The World Cup Solo competition proved an even more prominent stage for competitive Fortnite. Unfortunately, he did not see as much success as in duos. He earned just six eliminations overall and eleven total points. Megga still took home $50K USD and ensured that fans of competitive Fortnite would not soon forget him.

9. David “aqua” Wang

Representing Cooler Esport and hailing from Austria is aqua. The Fortnite World Cup qualifier provided a stage where aqua made a name for himself. He qualified alongside Nyhrox for the duo competition, and also managed a solo qualification for himself. Aqua was yet another top Fortnite player who would compete in both competitions at the World Cup. New York City provided the perfect venue for aqua to etch himself in competitive gaming history.

Aqua first competed in the duo competition at the World Cup with former fellow Cooler member, Nyhrox. Against the predictions of most, aqua and Nyhrox played exceptionally well. The two started slow, accumulating just three eliminations and one top-fifteen over three matches. Aqua and Nyhrox followed this up with two Victory Royales in a row and fourteen eliminations over those two matches. This vaulted the European duo into first place heading into the final match.

Their final match yielded an eighth-place finish with six eliminations, and this was enough to secure first place overall in the duo competition. It was a stunning performance out of aqua and Nyhrox as they finished four points ahead of second place. The two received $3M USD in prize money and achieved competitive Fortnite supremacy.

Aqua proceeded to the final day of the Fortnite World Cup to compete in the solo competition. He only managed one point over six games and walked away with $50K USD. Despite the solo performance, aqua still did exactly what he set out for and won a lot of money in the process. It was a truly surreal performance out of a duo that not many looked at as potential winners.

8. Rocco “Saf” Morales

Much of Saf’s career is spent competing alongside his duo partner, Zayt of NRG Esports. These two are the quintessential duo in professional Fortnite. Saf of Ghost Gaming has amassed first place finishes in the Summer Skirmish 2018, Secret Skirmish 2019, Katowice Royale 2019 and NA West Scallywag Cup. To this point, Saf’s career is a model that all professional players can only hope to mimic.

The Fortnite World Cup became the ultimate opportunity for Saf to prove himself on the big stage. He and Zayt qualified in week four of the NA East World Cup qualifiers. He narrowly missed double-qualifying, but ultimately would compete alongside his friend and duo partner. The World Cup proved to be a successful endeavor for Saf. He and Zayt attained a level of consistency that saw them lurking on the leaderboards throughout the duo competition.

With twenty-two eliminations in total, Saf and Zayt proved how important it is to have chemistry in a duo. Having done this since Fortnite’s inception, the World Cup success came naturally to them. The two kicked off their World Cup run with a Victory Royale and finished with forty-four total points. This placed Saf and Zayt in fourth and handed them 1.5M USD in prize money. Evidenced by his competitive history, Saf’s skills are unquestionable. He and Zayt are exactly what all duos should strive to be in competitive Fortnite. Expect to see Saf consistently at the top of leaderboards as the future of Fortnite unfolds.

7. Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish

Benjyfishy has become a household name in the competitive Fortnite community. Competing under the NRG Esports banner, the young European player stormed the scene. His consistent placement in early 2019 brought attention to Benjy’s talents. He and longtime duo partner, MrSavage, are some of the best that Fortnite Esports has to offer.

The European Gauntlet, Scallywag Cup, Blackheart Cup, and Luxe Cup were successful endeavors for Benjyfishy. He saw placings as high as sixth. Benjyfishy even achieved an eighth-place finish in the NA East Blackheart Cup. Benjyfishy marched into the Fortnite World Cup qualifiers with even more to prove. He qualified for the duo competition alongside MrSavage and qualified as a solo competitor as well. This added Benjyfishy to the illustrious group players who were to compete in both solos and duos. As the Fortnite World Cup approached, the Benjyfishy named gained a lot of recognition.

The duo competition came first as MrSavage and Benjyfishy put their skills to the test against the best players in the world. The two Europeans played consistent Fortnite through six grueling matches. Benjyfishy and MrSavage compiled seventeen eliminations and finished no worse than twenty-ninth in any game. The end result for Benjy and Savage was a fourteenth place finish with twenty-seven points.

This placing earned the duo $100K USD divided equally. Benjyfishy went on to participate in the solo tournament to end the World Cup. It was a lower placement, but Benjyfishy still managed to finish in twenty-fifth place. Benjy completed eight eliminations overall and had one match with a thirteenth-place finish to boot. He added an additional $50K USD to his grand total. Benjyfishy is one of the prominent faces in all of the European Fortnite community.

6. Williams “Zayt” Aubin

From day one, Zayt has been a household name in the competitive Fortnite community. Currently competing under the NRG Esports banner, Zayt has proved to be a consistent player over his career. His competitive Fortnite highlights include a Summer Skirmish victory, Katowice Royale 2019 victory and an NA West Scallywag Cup victory. Zayt accomplished all of these victories with his day one duo, Ghost Saf.

Zayt double-qualified for the Fortnite World Cup. He and Saf finished in first-place when the week four duo qualifier concluded. Zayt subsequently qualified as a solo the following week and achieved the highest possible level heading into the World Cup. The first competition of the World Cup saw Zayt and Saf competing in duos. With twenty-two eliminations and a Victory Royale, the long-standing duo partners played unbelievably. The two managed an average placement of 11.33 over their six matches and finished in fourth overall. Fourth place awarded Zayt and Saf $1.5M USD overall.

The solo competition provided another platform for Zayt to further prove his talent. Following up a fourth-place finish with Saf would be difficult for Zayt. He managed six eliminations over six matches in solos. Zayt’s best placements were an eighth and ninth-place finish. All in all, this would land him in thirty-sixth place on the leaderboard, which earned him an additional $50K USD. Zayt remains among the top professional Fortnite players especially considering his surreal World Cup results.

5. Danny “Dubs” Walsh

Dubs is one of the young up and comers in the competitive Fortnite scene. In his relatively short documented history, he has managed to accomplish quite a lot. One of the most significant accomplishments to date is his double qualification for the Fortnite World Cup. With the assistance of his duo partner, Megga, Dubs was able to participate in both the duo and solo competitions. Dubs went on to perform quite well at the Fortnite World Cup.

The team of Dubs and Megga finished in seventh place for the World Cup duo competition. Although the two did not achieve a Victory Royale, sixteen total eliminations and four top-fifteen finishes are all they really needed. Their game sense shined as they took full advantage of the ballers and relying on rotations. The two FaZe members ultimately split $375K USD for their Fortnite World Cup duo effort.

Dubs went on to compete as a solo and played equally well throughout the day. He only managed four eliminations over six matches, but his placements were the key to success. Dubs managed a first and second-place finish, which added significantly to his point total. Similarly to his duo strategy, Dubs relied on surviving and rotating. This strategy bred excellent results, and a fifteenth-place overall finish in the solo competition. Dubs took home an additional $150K USD for his solo performance. His current to-date prize winnings are over $300K USD.

4. Arkhram

Although his full name is a mystery, Arkhram of 100 Thieves is undoubtedly in the discussion of current top players in Fortnite. This statement proved accurate with his impressive double-qualification for the Fortnite World Cup. Many of the best players did not qualify once, and only a handful of players qualified for both the solo and duo competition. Arkhram finished inside the top ten during the Fortnite World Cup qualifying period four separate times. This included two first-place finishes in the solo and duo qualifiers.

The Fortnite World Cup panned out well for Arkhram. He teamed up with Falconer for the duo portion, and this ended up as his best finish of the week. The two of them put up twenty total eliminations at the World Cup. Arkhram and Falconer also achieved two fourth-place finishes along with a second-place finish in three of their matches. This performance was undoubtedly one of the best all weekend as the duo finished in fifth place overall. Arkhram and Falconer walked away with $900K USD to split.

Arkhram moved on to day three where he competed in the solo competition. It was not as successful as the duo result, but it was an accomplishment nonetheless. Arkhram completed seven eliminations and one top-five finish to the tune of fifty-third place overall. With his solo performance, Arkhram tacked on an additional $50K USD to his prize winnings at the World Cup. At just fifteen years of age, his building abilities are impressive and has a lot to look forward to.

3. Shane “EpikWhale” Cotton

Not many are too familiar with EpikWhale, but he stands among the best Fortnite players in the world. Competing for NRG Esports, EpikWhale has some of the best mechanics of any Fortnite player out there. His track record includes a twelfth place finish the NA West Scallywag Cup leading into the World Cup qualifiers. The qualifiers proved successful for EpikWhale, which opened up the door for the greatest opportunity of all, a World Championship.

With so few qualification spots open to NA West, EpikWhale defeated the odds by double-qualifying. He placed first in the week three World Cup solo qualifier, and second in the week ten duo qualifier with 4DRStorm. Like many of the greatest players, EpikWhale prepared sufficiently for the biggest Fortnite tournament of all time. He ultimately converted this opportunity into one of the best overall performances at the World Cup.

EpikWhale impressed in the duo tournament with partner 4DRStorm. The two achieved fifteen total eliminations and had a fourth-place finish in match number six. Overall, the two amassed twenty-nine points, which was good enough for twelfth place. EpikWhale and 4DRStorm ultimately $100K USD dollars in total prize money for their impressive performance.

It was the solo tournament, which cemented EpikWhale as one of the top competitive Fortnite players. Over six matches, EpikWhale compiled fourteen eliminations and four finishes inside the top twenty. His consistency shined as he secured himself $1.2M USD. At just seventeen years of age, the name EpikWhale will gain more recognition as Fortnite continues changing.

 2. Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson

Mongraal of FaZe Clan rose through the Fortnite ranks seemingly overnight. At just fifteen years of age, Mongraal has accomplished quite a lot in his professional Fortnite career. He made a name for himself in 2018 whilst competing in Keemstar’s Friday Fortnite tournaments. Being a European player, many had trouble ranking him amongst the best because the competition in Europe is different in comparison to North America.

The year 2019 marked Mongraal’s rise to superstardom in competitive Fortnite. Alongside duo partner, mitr0, Mongraal took first place in the European Luxe Cup. The duo then proceeded to place third in the Fortnite World Cup Warmup. From there, Mongraal ascended to elite status after becoming a double-qualifier for the Fortnite World Cup. He and mitr0 qualified in week two of the duo qualifier, and Mongraal secured himself a solo spot in week nine.

FaZe Clan subsequently picked Mongraal to be part of their Fortnite team. The Fortnite World Cup allowed Mongraal to showcase his abilities in front of hundreds of thousands of viewers. He finished in sixth place with partner mitr0 in the duos competition. With twenty-five eliminations and no finish worse than twenty-seventh, the European duo proved their skills. The two walked away with $450K USD to split.

Mongraal went on to compete in the solo competition and kept up the momentum. Ten total eliminations and one second-place finish yielded Mongraal twenty-three total points. This performance was good enough for thirteenth-place and an additional $150K USD. Mongraal’s career earnings have crept over $400K USD as he continues to show exactly why he is one of the best Fortnite players around.

1. Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf

What can be said that hasn’t already been said about the Fortnite World Cup Solo Champion? Having no real prior LAN experience, this win made all Fortnite fans aware of his talent. Bugha vaulted himself into uncharted territory. He only qualified as a solo, but his run at the World Cup is truly one for the ages. Bugha amassed 59 points over his six matches at the World Cup. The second-place competitor managed just 33 points in comparison. It quickly became clear that Bugha’s talent is unquestionable.

Bugha’s first-place finish with nine eliminations in match one put him ahead of the pack. After one throwaway match to follow his win, Bugha bounced back in impressive fashion. His last four matches yielded results of tenth place, third place, fourth place and fifth place. He compiled 14 eliminations over that stretch, and Bugha successfully claimed the title of Fortnite World Cup Champion. In the process, he cashed out with the $3M USD grand prize.

The well-deserved victory at the Fortnite World Cup catapulted him to the top of the prize money list in competitive Fortnite. All eyes will be on Bugha going forward to see if he can maintain a steady level of success. He seems to be doing just fine, seeing as he has already qualified for the Trio Fortnite Champion Series. His technical prowess and game sense are at the highest possible level.
