Here is a ranked list of The Finals heavy build weapons
The Finals is a new FPS game released by Embark Studios. It was recently launched at the end of The Game Awards 2023 on December 7. After a relatively successful beta phase, players were excited about the final release. Alongside the game, developers added various new features and weapons. New game modes and mechanics for every class help improve the diversity of the game, significantly improving the player’s experience.
So, we have decided to compile all the heavy-build weapons in a list and rank them. Make sure you also check out our list of the best medium-build weapons and our tier list of all the best weapons currently in the game.
The Finals Heavy Build Weapons Ranked
Heavy builds have not been seen as much as the others in the game after its release. One of the primary reasons for this is because of the fast-paced and mobility-based style of the game. It becomes quite difficult to play the role of a slower, more anchored character. However, heavy builds are far from being completely ineffective. With proper positioning and weapons, it is easy to mow down entire teams without any trouble. Having a good weapon is crucial in these situations, so let's get into all the weapons available for heavy-build players.
6. Flamethrower
- Magazine Size: 30
- Damage per shot: 28
- Fire rate: 180
- Reload time: 4 seconds
The name itself is self-explanatory, it's a gun that shoots fire at your enemies. However, it is not as destructive as one might think. Games like Call of Duty and Battlefield have similar weapons that are extremely effective at getting multiple kills at once. In The Finals, it’s a completely different story. The damage on this gun is not that great. The fire rate as well is quite low, allowing lighter build players to escape from the fire. The range is also terrible, making it ineffective in long-ranged fights.
Despite its cons, the Flamethrower can be quite strong in closed spaces. If you spot a team sticking very close to each other, that's a perfect target for this weapon. It will only take a few bursts to get a team wipe. It is advised to keep a good secondary weapon alongside the Flamethrower to be effective in other scenarios such as outdoor fights in open areas.
5. M60
- Magazine Size: 70
- Damage per shot: 35
- Fire rate: 600
- Reload time: 3.9 seconds
The M60 is the default weapon given to players who start playing heavy builds. It's a decent gun for beginners and has great stats overall. It is effective in almost every situation. However one of the major drawbacks to the M60 is its reload speed. It reloads far slower than the Lewis Gun, which is featured further down the list.
The M60’s large magazine size somewhat compensates for the slow reload. This does mean that every bullet fired from the gun counts. There is very little room for missing shots because once you’re out of bullets, you become a sitting duck and an easy target for other teams. The gun is pretty easy to use and has a very fast time-to-kill. It shreds through lighter builds easily, making it the best gun for newer players trying out heavy builds.
4. Sledgehammer
- Magazine Size: 1
- Damage per shot: 90
- Fire rate: 50
- Reload time: 0 seconds
The Sledgehammer is a fan favorite amongst The Finals player base. It’s not the most effective weapon, but in certain scenarios, it can be stronger than an actual firearm. With only 2-3 swings, you can knock down an enemy. The damage per shot is quite effective.
However, getting close to them is the tricky part. Due to the game being very fast-paced and having longer-ranged fights, it proves to be quite hard to get into a range where you can consistently hit enemies. Moreover, the slower speed of heavy build characters makes movement even worse. Therefore it is wise to use an actual gun or have a decent secondary weapon to make life easier.
3. Lewis Gun
- Magazine Size: 47
- Damage per shot: 25
- Fire rate: 480
- Reload time: 3.4 seconds
The Lewis Gun is a light machine gun that has a very high rate of fire. Many players prefer the M60 over this because of the higher recoil of the Lewis Gun. However if you can control it, it can be a weapon of mass destruction. Its damage is strong enough to pierce through all armor and even destroy shields and turrets much faster. It is also viable to fire a single shot at a time over long ranges to be more accurate.
The comparison between the M60 and the Lewis Gun goes on, but the truth is both weapons have trade-offs and situations where one is better than the other. However, if we look at overall stats, the Lewis Gun has more consistency and is more reliable in most scenarios.
2. MGL 32
- Magazine Size: 6
- Damage per shot: 80
- Fire rate: 90
- Reload time: 3 seconds
The MGL 32 is a grenade launcher, which can not only damage players but cause destruction to the environment as well. Ut cab destroys entire buildings and has a high multi-kill potential. It is one of the more fun guns to use compared to the others as you can just fire grenades from a distance and watch the mayhem unfold.
The main drawback to the MGL 32 is its slower fire rate. The fire rate is not very high as it functions as a pump action. Moreover, the grenades do not explode on impact after being launched. It takes a few milliseconds to explode after landing. This makes it easier to avoid being caught in the explosion, especially for light build players. However, the massive damage cannot be overshadowed so easily. If used with another weapon, like an assault rifle of sorts, this build can be quite effective, especially when trying to steal a cashout.
1. SA1216
- Magazine Size: 16
- Damage per shot: 104
- Fire rate: 140
- Reload time: 3 seconds
The SA1216 is a semi-auto shotgun that has a very impressive fire rate. Its damage potential in medium to close ranges is something that cannot be ignored. Since a lot of fights happen in medium ranges, the SA1216 is a strong weapon to have. Alongside that, the recoil for the gun is also relatively easy. It does require some getting used to, but once you’ve mastered it, it becomes easy to be effective in gunfights.
Gadgets like the Mesh Shield and Dome Shield are good equipment to have which complement the shotgun nicely. These force the players to push closer to you into the effective range of the SA1216. Many players are not aware of how good this gun is, so we advise you to make the most out of it. It is also expected to be nerfed very soon because of its stats.
