The apocalypse is coming, and Will Smith will be one of humanity's few survivors. Again.
Tencent Games recently released a cinematic trailer for Undawn, and the star is none other than Hollywood megastar, Will Smith. Contrary to what some might initially believe, Will Smith is not in Undawn as his iconic cinematic character Robert Neville from I Am Legend.
Instead, Will Smith will be portraying an original character named Trey Jones. Trey Jones is a legendary survivor of Undawn's apocalypse and will help players survive in this post-apocalyptic warzone. The trailer features no voicework, so it is unknown if Will Smith only provided his likeness to the project, but it seems unlikely that's his only contribution.
Developed and published by Level Infinite and Lightspeed Studios, both subsidiaries of Tencent Games and the brainchildren behind PUBG Mobile, Undawn will launch globally on June 15 for Android, iOS, and PC via Steam. Undawn will have cross-play functionality.
Pre-registration for Undawn is ongoing, and just under 2.5 million players have signed up thus far. Everyone will receive pre-registration rewards depending on how many players pre-register. The community needs 4 million pre-registrations to get them all. You can pre-register for Undawn here.
