Gen.G's near-unbeatable macroplay was first felt by the LEC's #1 seed G2 Esports. In a show of dominance, the Korean team managed to secure their first series win in just under 20 minutes. By doping this, Chovy and co. have managed to solidify their presence in the mid-season tournament, albeit not unscathed.
