Super Mario RPG is chock-full of treasures to discover and explore, much like any other fantastic role-playing game. A type of object that can be found in different game zones are the Super Mario RPG hidden chests. There are 29 in all, and although some may be easy to locate, others might not be. Toad may be talked to in the basement of the Mushroom Kingdom store, which is where we would advise going first. He will give you a signal ring to notify you of the location of a Super Mario RPG hidden chest as it approaches.
Super Mario RPG Forest Maze hidden chests
Once you have collected all the Super Mario RPG hidden chests found in Rose Town, you will have to proceed with the game and go to another area called Forest Maze. As you can guess from the name, the Super Mario RPG hidden chests found in this area are not as easy to find as the ones previously, so be ready to follow our guide carefully, also because you will have to find six different ones in this area.
The first of the Super Mario RPG hidden chests that you can collect in this area, fortunately, is not difficult to find at all, as it is located right in the area where you will start the little game. What you will have to do is go into the gap in the left area and jump to get the first hidden chest, which contains a Croaka Cola inside. To reach the second hidden chest, you will have to continue until you cross the first underground area and emerge on the surface again. Right where you jump out of the stump is where the second hidden chest is, so jump to get a Frog Coin.
Now, you will have to continue and arrive in an area where there are several stumps. The one that should enter first is the one on the right in the first row. Once you get down, continue until you reach the underground bit. At this point, all you have to do is go left and jump to get a Flower. Once you have collected this hidden chest, it's time to continue towards the next of the Super Mario RPG hidden chests that you will find in this area.
In order to find this hidden chest, all you have to do is go to the area where the only stump is located that is not paired with any other stumps in the area. Then, go to the top left corner and jump to get this hidden chest, which contains a Croaka Cola inside. Now, the time has come to head to the location where the penultimate of the Super Mario RPG hidden chests found in the Forest Maze area is located.
To get this hidden chest, you will have to go towards the stump that is on the left in the second row. Then, you will have to jump while positioning yourself so that you are headed towards the corner. Don't expect to get a reward in this case, as it is an empty hidden chest. Now, you only have one last hidden chest left to find in this area before you can continue to another destination. This hidden chest is located near the Save Box that you can find after the Forest Junction area. Then, as soon as you are in this area, go right and jump to get a Red Essence.
