The Spore Lizard is a harmless creature that can only be found indoors in dark areas of a facility. Upon showing up, it will look like a lethal monster ready to kill you instantly, but in reality, it is more terrified of players. It looks like a colossally big catfish dragging itself around the ground. It also has a short tail that has a purple orb attached to the end of it and an enormous mouth. They are considered to be comical creatures in the game who are funny and only startle you at first, to say the least.

The Spore Lizard is a passive creature that does not attack until and unless it feels attacked by a player. If a player approaches it, it hisses, opens its enormous mouth and rattles its tail to intimidate the player, telling them to back off. If you look at it from a great distance, it will just hiss and run away somewhere to break the line of sight. If you get too close to it and the lizard feels cornered it will release purple fumes or spores from its mouth which impairs the player’s vision and bite them, dealing little to no damage at all, so that the creature can run away from the player quickly. 

How to get rid of the Spore Lizard

Now that we know just how harmless the Spore Lizard is, how do you get rid of the creature easily? Well, if you spot the creature lurking nearby, just don’t approach it and break the line of sight, leaving it alone.

If you do end up face to face with one, it will absolutely release purple fumes from its mouth and bite you, in which case the best course of action is to beat it to death with a shovel or stop sign. The lizard can be killed with only a few hits, so it is quite easy to get rid of it, but we would advise against it and ask you to just leave the poor fellow alone, he’s just a little scared.

The only serious threat the Spore Lizard poses is when it is near other lethal creatures in a facility. If it releases purple fumes or spores that impair vision while another creature is nearby, it can quickly become a tough situation to escape. In this case, it is best to take note of where the lizard is during a scrap run and avoid the area altogether, both for your and the reptile’s own good. If you are getting chased by a more lethal monster and happen to run into the Spore Lizard, loop around it and get away as fast as possible.
