Sons of the Forest is the newest survival title, and here is how to save your progress in the game.
Newer people should know that the game doesn’t have an autosave feature, and the lack of an autosave means you’ll have to manually create something that’ll allow you to save your game.
Sons of the Forest had been in early access for nearly a year. After launching the game in February 2023, Endnight Games have loaded a full fledged 1.0 release on February 22, this year. The game takes you to an abandoned islands, where you land after your plane crashes.
You can queue up with eight players, as your ultimate goal is to survive in this island. Just like many other survival titles, Sons of the Forest allows you to craft a house for you to sleep in, and also save your game in.
How to Save Your Game in Sons of the Forest
First things first, to be able to save your game in Sons of the Forest, you have to construct a place where you character can sleep. One of the easiest ways to do that, is by constructing a Tent Shelter. A Tent Shelter can be constructed with just one Tarp, and one Stick.
How to Construct a Tent Shelter to Save Your Game
Equip a Tarp. Find a flat surface on the ground to place your Tarp. Once you place your tarp on the ground, equip a Stick and look at the one of the corners of top. Place your stick at one of the corners, and there you go, you’ve successfully constructed a Tent Shelter.
This is one of the most effective and easiest ways to save your game, as you construct a Tent Shelter with a minimum amount of in-game resources, and construct it just anywhere. Now you can interact with the tent shelter to save your game progress, or to sleep to pass the time and restore your health. This way, if you quit or die, you can choose to resume your progress from the moment of your last save just outside your Tent Shelter.
