Return to Moria Watcher in the Water Boss Guide

In Lords of the Rings: Return to Moria, there are several bosses that you will have to face during your adventure, while you will also be busy carrying out other activities. In this article, therefore, we will explain how to defeat this Return to Moria Watcher in the Water boss, so that you can continue your journey without too many problems.

How to beat Watcher in the Water in Lords of the Rings: Return to Moria

This Return to Moria boss is found in The Great Drain Pumps, in the Lower Deeps area. Once you arrive at this place, you will have to head in the direction of the pump house. However, to do this, you will have to build a bridge. In the distance, you will see a platform made of stone emerging from the water. If you continue to build beyond this platform, the Watcher in the Water will appear and start attacking you.

Defeating this boss will not be easy at all and you will need to be in possession of the right weapons to be able to inflict damage on him. Our advice is to focus on the First Age Crossbow and use the First Age Bolts; in fact, all the other types of ranged weapons that are present in the game are not suitable for completing this battle without having too many problems. Consequently, if you do not have what has been said, we recommend that you unlock it.

Return to Moria Watcher in the Water

To have the First Age Crossbow in your arsenal, you will need to find some items including Silver Ingot, Ruby and Ubasam Wood. As for the Silver Ingot and the Ubasam Wood, you shouldn't have any particular problems finding them, as they are found almost everywhere in the area you are in to fight the Watcher in the Water. As for Ruby, however, you will either have to explore the area of The Darkest Deeps or open some of the Orkish Chests found in the area of The Lower Deeps. Additionally, of course, you will also need to have arrows that can be crafted at the workbenches.

Once you have everything you need, you will be ready to start this fight. Head to the exact location where the Watcher in the Water appears and immediately hit him to disable one of his eyes. However, be careful: knocking out one of his eyes will cause orcs to start spawning on the platform you are on and you will have to eliminate them. However, don't pay too much attention to them as they will be present for the entire duration of the fight, so try to eliminate some from a distance (it is useless to attack them melee) while the Watcher in the Water will still remain your focus.

In order to complete this fight, you will have to hit the Watcher in the Water several times. Whenever you successfully hit it, it will disappear underwater for some time and will be invulnerable for the entire time it spends underwater. As a result, hitting him at that moment will be useless and just a waste of resources. Wait for it to surface again and hit it again. Follow this strategy a couple of times making sure to hit all four of his eyes, so that you can defeat him once and for all. Once defeated, you will be free to continue to the next area and continue your adventure.
