The Return to Moria Bolgakh boss is one of the bosses you will encounter throughout the game. It is a huge ogre who represents the first real boss fight that you will have to face during your adventure. In fact, it is certainly not the last one, since you will also be called to fight against the Watcher in the Water, for example. In any case, in this article, we will explain what to do to get the better of this boss.
How to beat Bolgakh in Return to Moria
This Return to Moria boss is found in the Ork Village, which is one of the deepest parts of the Mines of Moria. Consequently, before you can deal with this boss, you will have to fully explore the mines and cross The Lower Deeps. One way to understand that you are approaching this boss is the presence of the Biteweed plant, which only grows in places where there are many orcs and goblins.
Now that you know where to find this boss, it is important that you know what type of weapons to use to get the better of him. Our advice is to make use of the Last Alliance Maul and a shield, since any other type of equipment will be almost useless and will not serve to inflict damage. Furthermore, another thing you need to know before engaging in this fight is that you will not only have to fight Bolgakh, but also hordes of orcs and goblins. Usually, these enemies aren't a real problem, you just have to be careful not to get hit by surprise from behind.
Before continuing to tell you how to defeat Bolgakh in Return to Moria, let's spend a few words on how to get the weapon you need to defeat him. To get the Last Alliance Maul, you will have to repair the Destroyed Statues found in the Mines of Moria area. In theory, there is no need to repair them all, as the weapon is made up of two pieces, but at the moment it is not yet clear how the pieces you need are released, so repair the statues until you have them you will get.
Once you have the weapon, it's time to focus on the actual combat. With the Last Alliance Maul and a shield, you will be able to block Bolgakh's attacks (as well as those of the orcs and goblins). By following this strategy, and above all by making use of this specific weapon, you will be able to defeat Bolgakh in a short time and with few attacks. Otherwise, if you don't have this weapon, it will take much longer and the challenge will become much more difficult. Consequently, our advice is to first acquire the Last Alliance Maul before continuing the fight.
Once you have defeated Bolgakh, you will have the opportunity to collect all the resources that are present in that area, especially regarding Gold Coins and Black Diamonds. The latter, in this case, are very important as they will allow you to fix the elevator at The Crystal Descent which will allow you to visit The lower Deeps area and continue with the game.
