How to assign tasks to Pals in your base in Palworld

As Palworld centers around survival and crafting, the Pals have special abilities known as “Work Suitability.” This “Work Suitability” is what determines what type of tasks a Pal can do around your base. However, how do you get to work in your base and do specific tasks? Hence, here is a guide on how to assign tasks to Pals in your base.

Now, as mentioned before, Pals have special abilities known as “Work Suitability” which determines what type of work each Pal can do. To assign tasks in your base, simply deploy your Pal inside your base, and they'll automatically walk towards the tasks they can do based on their Work Suitability. For example, Cattiva has the “Handiwork” Work Suitability so whenever something needs to be built, it will go and do it on its own.

The same goes for all Pals in your base, they will do any work that needs to be done as long as their traits align with the task at hand.

However, how to assign tasks to Pals? Well, there are two ways to do so, which are given as follows:

Summoning Pals through the Palbox

The first and foremost way to assign tasks to Pals is by summoning them to your base through the Palbox. Here are the steps you need to follow to do so:

• Step 1: Open up your Palbox Management Menu by going up to your Palbox and pressing “E” on your keyboard. 
• Step 2: Find the Pal you want to summon into your base and click on it with your mouse. 
• Step 3: Drag and drop the selected Pal into the box below to summon them instantly to your base.

Once you drag and drop the Pal into the box, it will spawn in your base and immediately find work to do that aligns with its Work Suitability.

Summoning through throwing the Pal

The second way to assign tasks to Pals is by summoning them by throwing them on the ground. Here are the steps you need to follow to do so:

• Step 1: Scroll to your desired Pal in your hotbar with the “1-3” button on your keyboard.  
• Step 2: Press “E” on your keyboard to commence the “Throw” action and release or summon the Pal by aiming it at the desired area for a task. 

It will spawn the Pal immediately on the site where you threw it and upon spawning, it will notice the task. Once it notices the task at hand, it will start doing the task instantly.
