With Stage 3 of the Overwatch League reaching its conclusion today, many fans are eager to watch their favorite players and teams come back to the Blizzard Arena. But when does Stage 4 actually start?

When Does the OWL Stage 4 Start?

Stage 4 of Overwatch League officially begins on Thursday, July 25 and will feature the following games:

Houston Outlaws vs. Paris Eternal
Los Angeles Gladiators vs. New York Excelsior
Guangzhou Charge vs. Philadelphia Fusion
Shanghai Dragons vs. Vancouver Titans

Is Role Lock Coming to Stage 4?

Stage 4 might be a little different than previous stages, however. Rumors have surfaced over the past couple of months that the official rules will require a 2-2-2 role lock, meaning teams must play two DPS, two tanks, and two supports. Because the design team was unable to stop GOATS from dominating, rumors point to Blizzard implementing this role lock system. Whether or not this will improve the game is unknown, but fans will probably enjoy not seeing the GOATS team composition anymore.
