The Washington Justice signed former Los Angeles Gladiators and Dallas Fuel flex DPS player Gui-un “Decay” Jang.
A day after the Overwatch League announced the Season 2021 roster construction rules, the Washington Justice is the first team to sign a new player for the upcoming season. The Washington Justice decided to change their roster mid-season, releasing all international players to gather a team of South Koreans. Jang is the seventh member of this roster. He joins his former teammate from Los Angeles Gladiators, Chang-hoon “rOar” Gye, now main tank for the Washington Justice.
Jang was a free agent since early August when his former team Dallas Fuel released the player for his lack of motivation. According to Mike “Hastr0” Rufail, Chief Gaming Officer for Team Envy, Jang refused to work with the staff and practice during the last few months. Jang’s contract was due to end in a few months and decided to no longer take part in the Dallas Fuel’s team practice.
With the signing of star players from other Overwatch League teams, the Washington Justice is building a strong roster. Each team member has prior experience playing at the highest level, and communication will be easier now that the team is fully Korean.
