Overwatch League: Toronto Defiant Signs Aspire

Luka “Aspire” Rolovic joins Toronto Defiant for the rest of the Overwatch League 2021 season.

After two successful 30-day contracts, Toronto Defiant officially welcomes DPS player Luka “Aspire” Rolovic to the team.

Aspire first joined Toronto Defiant on May 27 on a 30-day contract. Two weeks later, he went on loan to American Tornado, a North American Overwatch Contenders team. He helped the team win the second season of the Contenders 2021 NA, with impressive skills on heroes like Hanzo, Ashe, or Tracer.

Aspire only stayed two weeks with American Tornado, before being signed again by Toronto Defiant for his second 30-day contract with the team.

After proving his worth on hitscan heroes and on Tracer, Aspire is now a full-time member of Toronto Defiant. He shares his DPS position with three other players: Andreas “Logix” Berghmans, Hee-su “Heesu” Jeong, and Ho-sung “Na1st” Lee.

During the last few weeks, Aspire took Logix’s place in the Defiant roster, as the Belgian player tested positive to COVID-19. His DPS duo with Heesu worked well, but Toronto Defiant didn’t manage to qualify for the Summer Showdown final tournament.

The next match for Toronto Defiant and Aspire is later today, against London Spitfire. The teams will battle for the Week 17 of the Overwatch League 2021 Season and try to qualify for the Countdown Cup tournament.
