In a surprising turn of event, next weeks Warhammer preorders are two brand new codices – and some other goodies.

Another Sunday has come, which means that Games Workshop showed us a number of new releases coming to all things Warhammer. While the T’au Empire 10th Edition codex is not officially out yet – but you can get it in the Kroot Hunting Pack – it’s time for some new codices. Not just one, but two, as next weeks Warhammer preorders bring the Ork and Adeptus Custodes Codices, as well as new Combat Patrols and Battleforces. Let’s dive right into the new releases!

Orks

Codex: Orks

The Orks' definitive guide for 10th Edition comes in standard and Collector's Edition, each offering comprehensive rules, lore, and painting guides, along with a code for the Warhammer 40,000 app. It includes 51 Datasheets, six Detachments, Crusade tools, and introduces Morgrim’s Butchas, a Combat Patrol unit featuring Beast Snagga Boyz.

Battleforce: Stompa Boyz

This new release features the debut of a new Ork Big Mek alongside a formidable army including 10 Ork Boyz, 10 Lootas, which can be built as Burna Boyza Trukk, and a Stompa. Combat Patrol: Orks

Morgrim’s Butchas, a group of fierce Beast Snagga Orks, are featured in this Combat Patrol, expressing their disappointment at the lack of large monsters and vehicles. Led by a powerful Beastboss, the patrol consists of 20 Beast Snagga Boyz and four Squighog Boyz.

Orks Datasheets and Dice

Start your Waaagh! with essential player aids: the Orks dice and datasheet cards. The Dice Pack includes 16 green dice with white pips, while the datasheet cards compile unit and Detachment rules into 55 quick-reference cards for easy access during gameplay.

Adeuptus Custodes

Codex: Adeptus Custodes

Codex: Adeptus Custodes is the next step for the Emperor’s personal bodyguards. It provides background lore as well as four thematic Detachments and 18 datasheets. Additionally, the book offers Crusade content for narrative campaigns with the Talons of the Emperor. An exclusive Collector's Edition with a lavish soft-touch cover will also be available – but only in a limited amount, so get yours while you can.

Battleforce: Auric Champions

The newly released Auric Champions Battleforce features a formidable force led by a Shield Captain. The Captain, equipped with a pyrithite spear and offering two head options, commands a bodyguard consisting of five Wardens, six Allarus Terminators, and six Vertus Praetors riding jetbikes.

Combat Patrol: Adeptus Custodes

Enter the fray of smaller-scale Warhammer 40,000 battles with Combat Patrol: Adeptus Custodes, an ideal starting point for expanding your army. Led by a Blade Champion, the Patrol comprises five Custodian Guard and a selection between three Allarus Terminators or three Wardens. While the box includes all miniatures, you only have to choose the Termies or the Wardens before you start a Combat Patrol game!

Adeptus Custodes Datasheets and Dice

Enhance your Custodian collection with accessories featuring the iconic gold aesthetic of the Ten Thousand. Warhammer: The Horus Heresy

Baal Predator Upgrade Pack

Forge World offers a resin upgrade pack for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy, allowing players to convert their Deimos Predators into Baal Predators, the anti-infantry tank of the Blood Angels. The pack includes a twin-linked Iliastus assault cannon for the turret, which can replace the standard Predator cannon. Additionally, it provides a pintle-mounted version of the assault cannon for hatch gunners, complete with necessary arms and mounting brackets.

This pack includes weaponry favored by the Blood Angels Legion, blending deadly functionality with exquisite aesthetics. Children of Teclis

“Children of Teclis” by Evan Dicken revisits a classic Lumineth Realm-lords adventure in a new paperback edition. The story follows Loreseeker Elarin the Illuminated as she protects Nagash's tomb in Marrowscar. Despite her duty, she seeks to ensure the permanent entombment of the Great Necromancer. Meanwhile, Marrowscar is under attack by Idoneth reavers in search of magic to rejuvenate their souls.

Warhammer+

This week on Warhammer+, Orks dominate with three new episodes. The highlight is a 2,000 point Battle Report featuring the latest Ork and Adeptus Custodes Codexes, showcasing Ghazghkull Thraka and Trajann Valoris. In Loremasters, the focus is on the peculiar history of Ork Mekboyz and their legacy of destruction. Meanwhile, Citadel Colour Masterclass offers an advanced tutorial on painting gargantuan skin.
