Mobalytics is partnering up with the leading platform in in-game overlay apps, Overwolf to scale up its infrastructure and reach.
Founded by a group of passionate gamers, what they describe themselves as, in 2016, is one of the most used esports and gaming platforms that specializes in providing visual analytics and performance data to its users. The site uses in-game data from game APIs (application programming interface) and machine learning to analyze and improve player performance across several skills crucial for competitive gaming, through its patent-pending Gamer Performance Index (GPI) technology.
Mobalytics started out just for League of Legends, but since then expanded into other Riot games such as Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra and VALORANT. As one of the most used websites and companion apps in the space, Mobalytics has been partnering with some of the top esports teams like T1, Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses and Golden Guardians. Even bringing two of the biggest content creators in the scene as co-owners, Nick “LS” DeCesare and Tim “Nemesis” Lipovšek.
After its success in LoL, Mobalytics decided to expand its horizon and move to other games as well. “One of our core goals is to help all gamers get better and to successfully achieve that Mobalytics needs to be available to more people and more games,” said Amine Issa, Co-Founder of Mobalytics. “Overwolf’s infrastructure will allow us to be more nimble and expand to more titles faster than before while providing better stability in order to reach players with all types of gaming setups.”
Overwolf is a free-to-use tech platform that aims to empower independent creators to build in-game apps that can provide in-game stats, video-capturing features, guides and much more. “Mobalytics is an all-in-one companion app that guides gamers every step of the way with features that help before, during, after, and even between your matches. We are excited to provide the team with the tools and infrastructure needed to take their app to the next level by bringing more agility and features to the already robust app,” commented Avner Florenthal, VP of Business Development at Overwolf.
And considering Overwolf already has 98,000 creators creating apps for over 1,000 games being used by 31 million monthly active users, it is a good choice of a platform for reaching to different audiences. Overwolf also has a $50M Creator Fund dedicated to supporting the work and projects of in-game app creators and mod authors, and it paid out $140M to in-game creators in 2022. With this partnership, Mobalytics says it will develop new features at a faster rate, increase accessibility and create more apps for new games.
