Manor Lords Policies – What Are They?
The policies in Manor Lords are guidelines that you can “implement” by going to the Settlement name. Once there, you will have to open the menu and select one of the available options.
The reason why the Manor Lord policies are important is because they dictate how your citizens will help you in the long run. For example, the policies matter when it comes down to your citizens’ response when there are problems with food, weather, and more.
The available Manor Lord Policies and what you need to know about them
Manor Lords will definitely receive updates in the future, but for now, there are two main policies you need to be aware of:
- Hunting Grounds – This is one of the Manor Lords policies that causes wild animals to breed 2x faster, as long as they are on Rich deposits. With that said, you will have a 50% reduced efficiency from Crops.
- Strict Fasting – When you enable this option, your citizens will skip the 5th meal. This will improve the overall food efficiency, but the approval rating will be decreased.
How to unlock the Manor Lords Policies
Now that you know the available options, it is time to see how to unlock these policies. To do that, you will need to contrast a Manor, which is one of the available buildings in this game. Building a Manor will require you to have the following resources:
- 5x Timber
- 25x Stone
- 20x Planks
Once your Manor is ready, you will get the Policies Tab, which should be available in your Main Menu.
Using the Manor Lord Policies
Although we have revealed each of the available policies in Manor Lords, you need to know how to use them efficiently. Here is how to access them:
- Go to the Policies tab.
- Once there, you should see that the game has 4 different policy rows. If you look carefully, you will see that each role will show a specific administrative level you need to unlock the specific policy.
- After you have decided what you want to use, you must select it and should see a checkmark. If that shows up, it means that the specific Manor Lord Policy has been enacted.
Turning off your Manor Lords policies
Since this game is very dynamic, there are many situations where you will have to change the policies or even turn them off. If you need to do the latter, you have to remove the checkmark (the one mentioned above). Doing this will “undo” the process.
Using the Manor Lords Policies effectively
We have mentioned that the Manor Lords policies can have a big effect on your overall gameplay. Depending on how you use them, you can maintain control over different things, such as resources.
Of course, not all policies will have a good impact on your settler’s quality of life. For example, reducing the food will allow you to preserve more of it, but the citizens won’t be happy.
By using the Manor Lords policies, you can also increase your influence, and you will need this in the long run. Increasing your influence will allow you to have better “communication” with other settlements.
Conclusion
