They are also needed for livestock trading, which is a great way to earn Silver in the game. At present, there are six Manor Lords animals in the game that can be obtained. All of them have different uses and provide different resources, which is exactly what makes you question which animal you should get first. Hence, without further ado, here is a list of all the Manor Lords animals, starting with which one you should get first:

The first one of the Manor Lords animals that you should get first is the Oxen. The oxen can be considered to be the most important animals in the game because of their multifunctionality. When it comes to getting the Oxen, you can get it from a hitching post by pressing on the “Hire Oxen” option. They are used as manual labor livestock who help with transport and plowing farm fields. When it comes to transport, Oxen specifically helps with transporting heavy logs to building sites at the Logging Camp or Sawpit and transporting huge amounts of goods around for logistical transportation.

Once you get the Heavy Plowing upgrade from the farm developments, you will be able to assign your Oxen to the Farmhouse in the advance menu. In the Farmhouse, once they are assigned they will help with plowing the farm fields in any part of the ground that needs plowing.

As for lambs, you can get the sheep to reproduce in the pastures they'll live in once you get the sheep breeding technology.

They are a type of livestock that produce resources and are a part of farming requirements. When they're put into pastures, they will have their coats sheared by workers to obtain wool. If you unlock the fertilization technology, you can have the sheep graze on improved farm fields to help fertilize the farms, specifically when they have a year in fallow. These lands also turn into temporary pasture space and greatly increase fertilization recovery.
