TSM's jungler is getting much-deserved recognition for an incredible split.
Yesterday, TSM's jungler Mingyi “Spica” Lu was awarded the Honda MVP award after a truly fantastic season's performance. As a newer player on a team full of veterans, there must've been quite a deal of pressure on him. But he lived up to all expectations and went far beyond them, being a rock for TSM all year long.

The award is very well deserved for the young player. While TSM as a whole experienced a rocky season, he was generally at the top of his game all season. He was a powerful force in the early game for his team, no doubt. And, of course, he had some great Baron steals and clutch moments. While other names like Can “Closer” Çelik, Daniele “Jiizuke” di Mauro and Felix “Abbedagge” Braun all were in the running, Spica took the most votes and the award in the end.
Sadly, we won't be able to see Spica on the international stage this year. After their loss to Cloud9 in the LCS Championship Lower Bracket, they were knocked out of the post-season and Worlds contention. While he and TSM struggled at last year's World Championship, with his current form and experience, it would've been interesting to see how he stood up to other international talents. Hopefully, we'll see him there next year!
