100 Thieves is adding three big names to their LoL squad.
As the LoL free agency period opens up, it was announced that 100 Thieves is bolstering their LCS lineup with three new players. Can “Closer” Çelik, Ian Victor “FBI” Huang and Choi “huhi” Jae-hyun are all joining from Golden Guardians. They'll be taking the spaces currently occupied by Juan Arturo “Contractz” Garcia, Liyu “Cody Sun” Sun and Philippe “Poome” Lavoie-Giguere.
During the 2020 season, 100 Thieves struggled to truly make a mark on the scene. Notably though, they did finish third in the Spring Split's regular season. Despite that, they never made the deep playoff runs they had hoped for. Because of this, changes were expected and these ones should make fans happy.
Closer and FBI had breakout 2020 seasons, putting up impressive performances throughout the year even when they weren't put in good positions. Their stats throughout the year were equally as impressive. These two are very strong players and will be forces to be reckoned with. On the other hand, Huhi is a legacy LCS player who has seen his fair share of success. He might not be as exciting as the other two but is a solid shotcaller for any team he's on. He also has the experience needed to help lead a team.
With these three signings, 100 Thieves look set to have a better 2021 season and will definitely be a team to watch. Be sure to follow ESTNN to keep up to date with all the latest LCS and LEC roster changes!
