LEC Lets Kit Kat Handle the Breaks in New Partnership

The LEC has welcomed Kit Kat to its growing list of sponsors working with the League. Kit Kat will be joining the League as its break sponsor (get it, because of Kit Kat slogan). These breaks usually happen between matches.

Kit Kat and the LEC will run a number of other activations during the Spring Split, with details to come. Kit Kit, a Nestlé brand also sponsors the Overwatch league franchise the Los Angeles Valiant, acquiring the naming rights to the team’s homestand weekend event in 2019 as part of the deal.

The LEC has so far welcomed Kia, Alienware, Tchibo, Beko, Logitech G and Warner Music, the latter four having been confirmed just this week to be sticking around for another year. The LEC also welcomed AKRacing as a new chair partner for 2020.

Speaking about partnerships Alban Dechelotte, Head of Sponsorships & Business Development EU at Riot Games had this to say about brands coming back in 2020:

“We're humbled by the fact that so many of our partners from 2019 have chosen to renew their trust in the LEC in 2020. We believe in building long-term partnerships, which set the basis for a strong and sustainable LoL esports ecosystem in Europe. Most importantly, each of these partners brings additional value to the LEC in unique ways, thereby elevating the viewership experience for all LEC fans.”
