Team Liquid's struggles keep getting worse.
Team Liquid announced via Twitter today that Peter “Doublelift” Yiliang Peng will not compete in the LCS on Saturday. His absence is due to illness, not their season's results thus far. Replacing him will be Edward “Tactical” Ra, who has apparently played with the team the past three days.
I wont be able to play this weekend of LCS because I got laryngitis (not corona) and I can't use my voice at all. We're gonna play with @Tactical so please support him in his debut and cheer for TL 😗

The move comes at a terrible time for TL. They're currently sitting at 9th in the standings with a 4-6 game record. Even with Mads “Broxah” Brock-Pedersen joining the fray, the squad is still having a hard time picking up wins. Doublelift has long been a top ADC in North America and his absence will be felt.
As a result, Tactical is going to be in a difficult position. Similarly to Shern “Shernfire” Cherng Tai, who subbed in the jungle before, he's an unproven player on the LCS stage. It'll be hard to see him being able to stand up to LCS-caliber players, although its the perfect chance to prove himself if he can.
Team Liquid will play versus TSM in their Saturday match. TSM is the third-seed team right now and is looking pretty good overall. This match will be crucial for TL's playoff hopes and this illness is sure to hurt. It's quite unlikely Doublelift will take the stage on Sunday either. If he's still not well, Tactical will face off against 100 Thieves too, which should be easier for him at least.
