League of Legends: Excel Esports finalizing buyout of Splyce support player Tore “Norskeren” Hoel Eilertsen

Excel Esports are finalizing the buyout of Splyce support player Tore “Norskeren” Hoel Eilertsen.

ESPN has reported that Excel Esports is finalizing a buyout for Splyce support player Tore “Norskeren” Hoel Eilertsen ahead of the LEC free-agency opening on Monday.

Norskeren will be joining an Excel Esports side that is looking to make major moves during the offseason after confirming Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool as the team’s new Head Coach.

Norskeren has had a good career in Europe with stints at Team ROCCAT, FC Schalke 04 and Millenium. He joined Splyce at the start of the LEC season in 2019.
ESPN also reports that Splyce is likely to rebuild a team around young talent after star top laner Tamás “Vizicsacsi” Kiss announced his retirement from competitive League of Legends.

When free agency opens on Monday, Splyce will only have one player contracted to the roster. Mid laner Marek “Humanoid” Brázda, so we’ll likely see a lot from Splyce from Monday. ESPN was unable to get comment from either organization regarding the move.

Is the future bright for Excel Esports?

Excel Esports ended the 2019 LEC season in last place. They'll be hoping that these quick preseason acquisitions can help the side challenge for the 2020 LEC title. Judging by Excel Co-Founder & CEO, Kieran Holmes-Darby’s latest Tweets fans will be expected a busy pre-2020.
