League of Legends: Vizicsacsi Retires from Professional LoL

Splyce top laner Tamás “Vizicsacsi” Kiss has announced his retirement.

Via Twitter, Vizicascsi stated he plans on retiring ahead of the 2020 LEC season, starting on Monday when his contract expires.

Vizicsacsi left FC Schalke 04 to join join Splyce for the 2019 season and has been an important member of its roster. While a part of the squad, Splyce made it to the quarter finals at this year's Worlds in Europe.

“My personal philosophy is to always give my best at what I do, but I don't feel like I have the drive and motivation to go into the next years anymore,” Vizicsacsi explained on Twitter. “Therefore, I have decided to open a new chapter in my life and go on another road. Have gotten some unforgettable memories over the past five years and I can only be thankful for all the support during that time.”

Vizicsacsi has had a long history of play within Europe, getting his big break at Unicorns of Love from 2014 to 2017 before spending a year with FC Schalke 04.

Vizicsacsi was never able to achieve a first-place finish in his time in Europe, missing out on multiple occasions to G2 and Fnatic. Splyce bowed out from the 2019 Worlds after a 3-1 defeat to SKT. The team made a surprising run, making it out of groups and heading to Madrid with the two other European squads.
