League of Legends: The European Masters Returns for 2020

The European Masters is making its triumphant return this year!

The League of Legends European Championship has announced that the European Masters will run this year. This tournament series gathers the best up-and-coming European regional talent to prove themselves in the spotlight.

Thirteen regional leagues will participate in the league. It will begin with a Play-In stage that runs from April 6th to the 9th. After that, the Group Stage commences and runs from April 22nd to May 2nd. Finally, the Knockout Stage is a best-of-three, single-elimination bracket, with the Semifinals and Finals occurring on May 9th and 10th.

Many European talents have rose through the European Masters to find spots on LEC rosters. There are over 20 players who started here, most recently including MAD Lions' Matyáš “Carzzy” Orság and Misfits Gamings' Danny “Dan Dan” Le Comte, Iván “Razork” Martín and Petr “denyk” Haramach.

Furthermore, the LEC will run the production for the European Masters this year. But unfortunately, due to the looming coronavirus threat, all matches will be played online. This isn't a surprise though, as the LEC themselves have moved online too.

Those interested can watch on the action live on the European Masters Twitch channel.
