Korean StarCraft League (KSL) Returns for 2019

Korea StarCraft League (KSL) is back! With two successful seasons in 2018 under its belt, the global StarCraft: Remastered tournament will be returning for its third season April 2019.

In 2018 we saw the likes of Terran player Seunghyun “Last” Kim and Zerg player Mincheol “Soulkey” Kim take home the KSL trophy during Season 1 and Season 2. With the first season of 2019 just around the corner, fans are waiting to find out which of their favorite players will jump into the fray to be crowned the third KSL champion.

For its third season, KSL will be taking place at the newly established VSG Arena in the heart of downtown Seoul, Korea. The VSG Arena, which is a multipurpose esports cultural complex, is complete with state-of-the-art audio and visual capabilities, as well as convenient facilities that provide fans and players with an excellent competitive experience.

Preparations for the third KSL season will start with online registrations, which are scheduled to take place from March 8 through March 20. Online qualifiers will then take place on March 23 and 24, followed by offline qualifiers on March 30. These qualifiers will decide which players will make it to the official round-of-16 roster.

The opening match for KSL season 3 will kick off April 18, and KSL matches will be taking place every Thursday and Friday following the opening match. The 16 finalists will be competing for the total prize pool of KRW 80 million.

Additional information about KSL and its next season can be found on KSL’s official website.
