IESF to Host European Regional Qualifiers for the Riyadh Esports World Cup

The International Esports Federation (IESF) is slated to host an online European Regional Qualifications for teams to qualify for the 16th World Esports Championship, slated to be held this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.


In a press release, the IESF made the announcement for their massive online tournament, which is slated to commence from July 6 to July 31. The European Regional Qualifiers will include 750+ esports athletes from all across Europe. 

The online tournament will allow them to ‘qualify to compete for a slot at WEC24, set to take place this summer in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Esports World Cup event in Riyadh will feature a list of 19 esports titles, featuring a prize pool of $60 million USD.

The event is slated to feature the following game titles:
• CS2 Open
• CS2 Women
• MLBB Open (Mobile Legends: Bang Bang)
• MLBB Women
• PUBG MOBILE
• DOTA2

European Regional Qualifiers to Feature Athletes From 43 Nations

The press release also revealed that esports athletes from 43 nations will compete in this event, “determined to claim victory and proceed on their journey on the ‘Road to Riyadh’.” As the national qualifiers progress, national federations await to discover which champions will represent them at the upcoming European Regional Qualifiers.
