How To Unlock New Fortnite x Free Guy “Good Guy” Emote

ESTNN details how you can unlock the new Free Guy Emote, based on the upcoming movie, starring Ryan Reynolds.

Epic Games has produced a collaboration with the new video game-based movie “Free Guy” starring Ryan Reynolds. The film, which hits theaters this weekend, centers around Reynolds, who plays a non-player character (NPC) in an open-world game. Famous gaming personalities such as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Imane “Pokimane” Anys and Lannan “LazarBeam” Eacott are due to make cameo appearances in the film.

Naturally, Fortnite Battle Royale inked a crossover with Free Guy. Thus far, a set of quests and an Emote based on the movie have come to light. Epic has not officially announced the collaboration, but some leakers in the Fortnite scene have decrypted their information. Let’s look at what we know so far.

Free Guy Quests

HYPEX was one of the first leakers to reveal the quests players will need to complete to unlock the “Good Guy” Emote. According to a tweet by him, Epic will announce Fortnite x Free Guy in a few hours—at which point “there will be ATMs in almost all POIs and Gas Stations.” Players will need to find ATMs to begin these quests. Upon completing five of them, you’ll earn the Good Guy Emote.

  • Here is a complete list of the quests:
  • Get hit by a moving vehicle 0/1
  • Place coins around the map 0/3
  • Reboot or revive teammates, or interact with campfires 0/1
  • Take melee damage 0/1
  • Talk with any NPC 0/1
  • Use Free Guy Emote near opponent 0/1
  • Cashier Controller Quest 0/5 (Unlocks Good Guy Emote)

The Emote above is what players will earn for finishing five of the Free Guy challenges. It’s not explicit yet what Epic is planning beyond this, if anything at all. However, we can expect to hear something official in the next few hours. Check back here for additional updates when we learn more.
