How To Thank The Bus Driver In Fortnite

Fortnite’s latest weekly punchcard challenge asks players to “Thank the Bus Driver.” This quest is one of the easiest, as it requires you to press one button. Today, we’ll explain how to Thank the Bus Drive in Fortnite Battle Royale and earn yourself some effortless experience points (XP) in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 8.

How to Thank the Bus Driver

A mechanic that has been in Fortnite since early Chapter 1 allows players to thank the bus driver. To do so, you have to press the corresponding key after the pre-game lobby and before you exit the Battle Bus. That leaves you about 30 to 45 seconds to thank the Bus Driver before you drop.

On a controller’s default configuration, you can thank the bus driver by tapping ‘Down’ on the directional pad (D-pad) whether you’re using an Xbox or PlayStation controller. You’ll know it was successful when your name appears on the lower-left corner of the screen, stating, “x has thanked the bus driver.” For PC players, you’ll need to press the ‘B’ key on the default key binds.

To complete the quest, you must thank the bus driver five times, requiring you to load into five separate matches. Once that’s done, you’ll have 50K XP added to your Season 8 level progression. You’ll need to thank the Bus Driver ten more times in stage two of the quest to earn 45K more XP and another 20 times for the final 40K XP.

This Season 8 weekly punchcard challenge is only available for six more days, but you should hit this goal with relative ease, provided you remember to thank the Bus Drive before exiting.
