Weapons are the most essential items in Helldivers 2 for fighting against the hordes of aliens. Hence, here is how to get new weapons in Helldivers 2

Helldivers 2 is the recently released sequel to the beloved top-down shooter we all played, Helldivers from 2015. However, the sequel came with its own twist, now in the form of a third-person shooter game.

Of course, the main objective of the game is to mow down armies of aliens and for that, you need weapons, lots of them. The game comes with lots of different weapons ranging from Primary, Secondary, Support and Throwable weapons or Grenades. These have to be unlocked as you progress through the game, so, here is how to get new weapons in Helldivers 2.

The answer to the question of how to get new weapons in Helldivers 2 is quite simple really. As mentioned before, you can get new weapons in Helldivers 2 as you progress through the game. Weapons need to be unlocked or purchased from the in-game store, Acquisitions Centre on the Destroyer (your ship). There, you will have to purchase through the battle pass system in Helldivers 2 known as the Warbonds to get your weapons.

Depending on the edition of your game that you purchased on launch, the weapons selection will vary. You will get the “Helldivers Mobilise!” for the standard edition of the game and “Steeled Veterans” for the Super Citizen edition of the game. Each of the weapons in the game has to be unlocked using Medals and Super Credits, the in-game currency. You can purchase the premium weapons from the Steeled Veterans edition of weapons using the Super Credits if you have the standard edition of the game.

You can earn these Medals by completing missions or orders and completing all the objectives. On the other hand, Super Credits can be earned by completing optional objectives in the game at different Points of Interest (POI). Each of the weapons in the game costs in-between 5 to a whopping 80 Medals, which is not cheap by any means.

Hence, without further ado, here is how to get new weapons in Helldivers 2 with their location on the Warbond in the Acquisitions Centre on your Destroyer and the cost to unlock each of them:
