How Gacha Works in DMC: Peak of Combat

Unlike the mainline Devil May Cry, Peak of Combat has a gacha system. We will look into how gacha works in the game and the rarities of the items

Devil May Cry (DMC): Peak of Combat introduced a character switching mechanic in DMC. This mechanic is different from the mainline series, where you generally switch weapons. Due to this mechanic, having a full, well-equipped team is essential to be good at the game.

In order to unlock some great hunters to excel at the game, a gacha system was introduced. The game implements this system by locking multiple characters and weapons behind rolls. These weapons and characters are of different grades and rarity.

In this article, we will be looking into how the gacha system works and the rarity of characters in the game.

DMC Peak of Combat: How Gacha Works

DMC: Peak of Combat borrows a gacha system similar to other games with the system, like Genshin Impact. They have identical pity systems, rate-up and signature weapons. This game focuses more on the hunters as they are a crucial part of the game’s system.

The gacha can drop hunters, weapons or skins. These skins are not the same as hunters, as one character may have multiple variations that can be denoted as a separate hunter. Skins, on the other hand, can be applied to a particular character variation. For example, One Man Show Dante is a Legendary character, while Nice and Cozy is a skin for Demon Hunter Dante.

Gacha Rarities

There are three levels of rarity in the game and they are given as follows:

0.66

Epic

86.34

Hunters in Each Rarity

Some hunters are rarer than others. We will be looking into the hunters present in each tier so that you can assess how many times you will roll.

While the amount of Legendary hunters is more significant than those in other tiers, it does not guarantee them being present in every roll. This is because different weapons, skins and other items dilute the loot pools.

Additionally, the game is constantly adding new characters, which keep the game fresh and will further add to the rarity of good hunters.

Banners in the Game

Banners provide a pity system to allow players to get better loot using the system. We will be looking into the banners that are in the game right now.

New Player Vault

Endless Judgement Banner

The Legendary Hunter banner is a limited-time banner that will end on 25 January 2024. A random Epic Hunter or Weapon is guaranteed every ten summons with the banner, and if 90 summons are made, a Legendary Hunter is assured as the pity. The Legendary Hunter banner provides us with Endless Judgment Vergil, the strongest character in the game.

Royal Guard Banner

This banner will also last till January 25. The banner functions the same as Endless Judgment, but it provides Royal Guard Dante within 90 summons.

Weapon Select Banner

Devil May Cry: Peak of Combat currently only has the Weapon Selection banner, which features limited hunter signature weapons. After 10 summons, players are guaranteed a random Epic Weapon or Hunter. After 30 summons, a random Legendary Weapon is assured, and after 90 summons, a random Hell Weapon is guaranteed.

Conclusion

Devil May Cry Peak of Combat is an action-packed game that offers players a wide range of highly versatile tools and characters to master and dominate in combat. To help new players get the most out of their experience, we have thoughtfully designed and broken down the gacha system to assist them in making informed decisions and improving their in-game combat skills.
