Helldivers 2 Crossplay and Cross-progression support explained.
Helldivers 2 is the hottest new multiplayer PC launch, and its a third person alien shooter developed by Arrowhead Studios. The game is the sequel to the 2015 top-down view shooter, Helldivers, and introduces a complete change in the mechanics and camera, along with a graphical overhaul. The 2015 game wasn’t graphically demanding, but the second installment completely changes the game by changing the camera to third-person view, making it a different shooter entirely.

Helldivers 2 Crossplay Support Detailed
Yes, Helldivers 2 does support cross-play. This means PC players can queue up with their friends on the Playstation and vice versa. “We’re pleased to announce that Helldivers 2 supports crossplay! That means your teammates on PC can play with you on PS5 and vice versa. Community and teamwork are the most important pillars of Helldivers 2, and it is essential to ensure players can work together regardless of the system they choose to use. Together we can celebrate victories, mourn losses, and liberate the galaxy without platform boundaries.” revealed the devs in the Playstation Blog post. A game that depends on multiplayer and co-op play, crossplay is vital to the game.
How to Enable Crossplay in Helldivers 2
- Head the ‘Options' tab of Open the ‘Pause' menu and head to the Options tab
- Select the ‘Gameplay' option
- Locate the ‘Crossplay' option
- Click ‘On' if you wish to enable or ‘Off” if you wish to disable.
- Ensure the settings have been saved.
Helldivers 2 Cross-Progression
For now, the game doesn’t support cross-progression. This also means you cannot save your progress across the available platforms. If you have your progress saved on Steam and you play the game on Playstation, means you have to start over. However, you can queue up with your friends across PC and Playstation but cannot save account progress or cosmetics brought through microtransactions on both the platforms altogether.
