Game Awards: Star Wars Eclipse Announce From Quantic Dream

That’s right, Star Wars fans, it’s time for another Star Wars video game!

This time, Star Wars Eclipse and oh my are we hyped based on that first look. From the lightsaber battle, the music, the exterior shots, to a certain little green fella. It never feels like we get enough video games set in the world of Star Wars, so we’ll always take another.

Quantic Dream is fronting this new game, set in the high republic era of the Star Wars universe. Quantic Dream might not be the developer many would imagine for a Star Wars title; especially as all we've known of the past 10 years are EA Games.  Most known for making story drive titles (mostly on PlayStation), Quantic Dream has brought us games like Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain, and now they’ll look to the skies as they take on Star Wars.

We don’t know much about the game, just know, although we did get some small details from the game’s blurb:

“Star Wars Eclipse™ is the newest adventure in the High Republic era, now early in development by Quantic Dream. Learn more at

Set during the High Republic era, Star Wars Eclipse™ is an intricately branching action-adventure game that can be experienced in many ways, and puts the destinies of multiple playable characters in your hands, created in collaboration between Quantic Dream and Lucasfilm Games.”

Right now, the game is super early in development, so we don’t expect to see gameplay or even a release date any time soon. So, it might be something to look forward to on your PS6 or Xbox Two at this point.
