Fortnite x Boba Fett Collaboration Announced, Slated For December 24 Release

Star Wars’ iconic bounty hunter — Boba Fett — joins Fortnite Battle Royale next month.

Epic Games announced today its latest addition to Fortnite’s ongoing collaboration with the Star Wars universe. This partnership dates back to November 2019, when the classic Imperial Stormtrooper made its way into Fortnite as part of a promotion with Respawn’s Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Since then, many other Fortnite x Star Wars collaborations have materialized, including Chapter 2 – Season 5 — where the Mandolorian and Baby Yoda were featured in the Battle Pass.

The newest development in this continued crossover brings Boba Fett onto the iconic Fortnite Island. Epic Games and Disney confirmed Fortnite’s partnership with the upcoming Disney+ series Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett, which arrives on the streaming platform December 29. The iconic bounty hunter will join Fortnite just five days before with an unknown list of cosmetics.

Fortnite x Boba Fett Due December 24

Fortnite’s official Twitter account revealed a collaboration with Star Wars: The Book of Boba Fett with few notable details. Not much is known about the partnership, but we can almost certainly expect to see the character appear in-game sporting his iconic Mandalorian armor. He would become the second bounty hunter from the Star Wars universe to join Fortnite, following the aforementioned Mandolorian Battle Pass crossover from Chapter 2 – Season 5.

Details beyond the teaser pictures are unclear. Boba Fett could appear in a future season’s Battle Pass or as a purchasable skin in Fortnite’s Item Shop. We can expect to find out more sometime next month, as Epic Games usually holds its cards until closer to the release date. Nonetheless, Boba Fett would become the eighth playable character in Fortnite after Imperial Stormtrooper, Rey, Finn, Kylo Ren, Zorii Bliss, Sith Trooper and the Mandolorian.

More leaks and information will likely surface over the next few weeks leading up to December 24. Be sure to check back here for more updates!
