Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield of the hit Resident Evil franchise have joined Fortnite!
Fortnite Battle Royale’s latest collaboration is here, and it’s a doozy. Epic Games announced today that Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine of the legendary Resident Evil franchise have entered the world of Fortnite. The two S.T.A.R.S. members and many of the RE series’ most recognizable items will become wearable in the game as part of Fortnite’s Gaming Legend Series. The skin collection also features other gaming icons such as Master Chief, Kratos, Chun-Li, Ryu and Tomb Raider.
This crossover is another milestone in Fortnite Battle Royale. The game has transcended what most people thought was even possible back in 2017 upon its release. Now, two of Resident Evil’s main characters add themselves to Fortnite’s expansive selection.
Chris Redfield & Jill Valentine Enter Fortnite
Epic Games announced Fortnite’s collaboration with Resident Evil this evening. Chris Redfield — the main character in Resident Evil, Resident Evil: Code Veronica, Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil 6 and Resident Evil: Village — will appear alongside his fellow S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine. Like Chris, she appeared in several installments of the Resident Evil series, including Resident Evil, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and the recent Resident Evil 3: Remake.
The pair of characters and all accompanying assets are purchasable in the Item Shop right now. Epic’s blog post gave a complete rundown of all of the individual cosmetics, which you can see below:
- Chris Redfield with alternate Hound Wolf Squad Style
- Jill Valentine with alternate Raccoon City Style
- Green Herb Back Bling with alternate Red Herb and Blue Herb Styles
- Saving Keystrokes Back Bling
- HOT DOGGER Pickaxe (Umbrella-developed anti-bioweapon knife)
- Stun Rod Pickaxe
- Brolly Stroll Emote
- Survival Loading Screen (only included in the bundle)
The Fortnite x Resident Evil collaboration marks the second for Capcom and Epic Games — the other being Street Fighter. With so many other iconic titles in Capcom’s library, there’s no telling what could be next. Be sure to check out the Resident Evil collection now in Fortnite!
