The trend of Fortnite x Star Wars continues with a classic X-Wing glider, available for purchase in the item shop.
A somewhat surprising relationship between Fortnite and Star Wars began in November of 2019. Epic Games teamed up with Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. This cross-promotion offered Fortnite fans the opportunity to acquire an in-game Imperial Stormtrooper skin. Since then, Fortnite partnered up with Star Wars on multiple occasions, which even produced a teaser for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Fortnite and Star Wars have returned as partners in the latest Marvel-themed season. This time, the popular Battle Royale title offers a new glider based on the upcoming Star Wars: Squadrons video game.

How you can get the Vanguard Squadron X-Wing Glider
Like almost every previous Star Wars crossover, the X-Wing glider is available via the Fortnite Item Shop. For 1,200 V-Bucks, players can get their hands on this unique throwback to George Lucas’ monumental film series. It is a hanging glider instead of the recent surfing glider trend that first appeared in Chapter 2 - Season 2. Now, players can represent their favorite Star Wars characters like Kylo Ren or Finn and deploy the X-Wing glider in Fortnite: Battle Royale.
Players can also acquire the X-Wing glider by purchasing the new Star Wars: Squadrons game through the Epic Games Store. After completing the purchase, buyers will be able to see their brand new glider the next time they load into Fortnite.

Although it seems random, Fortnite’s cross-promotion with the upcoming Star Wars: Squadrons video game strikes a resemblance to their past relationship with Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. There is no limit to who Fortnite can partner up with to bring their player base some interesting in-game items.
