Fortnite: Latest Season 7 Teaser Confirms Rick And Morty Crossover

The latest Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7 trailer referenced an upcoming crossover with Rick and Morty.

Fortnite Battle Royale’s fandom is mere hours away from Chapter 2 – Season 7. The anticipation began weeks ago with an alternate reality game (ARG) and ensuing cryptic hints both inside and outside of the game. Epic Games commenced its usual round of teaser clips on June 5, and the most recent one brought another groundbreaking collaboration to light. After posting the third and final teaser video on June 7, many drew an immediate connection to the hit cartoon Rick and Morty, an adult animated science fiction sitcom.

Rick and Morty Robot Appears in Latest Clip

A sentient robot from the Rick and Morty TV show took center stage in the latest clip. The show’s fans and Fortnite players equally took to Twitter not long after to point out the character known as “The Butter Robot.”

According to Rickipedia, an online encyclopedia dedicated to Rick and Morty, The Butter Robot is “a small, two-armed, mobile, sentient robot Rick Sanchez created for the sole purpose of passing butter.”

The Butter Robot = New Loot Crates?

The robot’s presence indicates it will appear in Chapter 2 – Season 7. But the exact manner is not clear at this point. HYPEX, a well-known Fortnite leaker, referenced that The Butter Robot is a “Loot Crate,” meaning that it might be replacing the traditional blue boxes that drop intermittently throughout each match. Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 7 is due for release in less than 24 hours.

Fortnite Star Wars Coming Back May 3 - What’s Planned?

A Rick and Morty collaboration is just the latest in a long line for Epic Games and Fortnite. Thankfully, the community won’t have to wait very long. There’s no telling what could come next in Season 7.
