See what’s new in Fortnite hotfix v20.10.
Chapter 3 Season 2 is well underway and fans are enjoying the new sprinting mechanic while running some critically acclaimed Zero Build mode. As we've come to understand, Fortnite's updates offer much more content for players to digest.
That brings us to hotfix v20.10, which arrived just in time for the Easter holiday. Epic Games tends to celebrate these occasions in-game with fun items and skins. While not a complete patch, this hotfix brings more map changes. As the battle between The Seven and The Imagined Order (IO) continues.
Today, we’ll break down everything you need to know about the latest Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 update.
The Battle of Condo Canyon
Last week marked the start of the in-game battle between the two factions. The Seven and the IO selected The Daily Bugle as the first venue to decide a winner. Ultimately, The Resistance triumphed over the IO, and you can now fund an Armored Battle Bus and Turrets at this location.
The two sides continue their battle in Condo Canyon—located southeast on the current map. Players here can expect a similar setting to The Daily Bugle, including the Huntmaster Saber non-player character (NPC). The IO Blimp that previously hovered above The Daily Bugle crash-landed in the water to the East. Condo Canyon will remain docile in competitive playlists.
Jetpacks, Easter-themed Items Return
This hotfix is not the average one we’ve seen recently. Epic Games utilized it to reintroduce the Jetpack and begin the in-game Easter celebration. You can now find Jetpacks aboard the IO Blimps that currently hover above several points of interest (POIs). These Jetpacks are different; they allow the user to strafe and aim-down-sights (ADS) while hovering. Epic did not add Jetpacks to competitive playlists, but they could join in the future.
Spring has sprung in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. With Easter happening this weekend, Epic Games unvaulted Egg Launcher and Bouncy Eggs. The former is a Grenade Launcher that shoots eggs, while the Bouncy Eggs are low-gravity consumable items available on the ground. Epic kept the Launcher and Bouncy Eggs out of competitive for this go-around.
That covers everything you need to know about the latest Fortnite hotfix. We can expect numerous more map changes and updates throughout the next month. So, stay tuned to ESTNN for all the latest news.
