A former FNCS-winning team reclaimed the throne in G2 Esports’ first Fortnite tournament.


G2 Esports kicked off a new competitive Fortnite Battle Royale season with the inaugural Get The Cash Cup tournament. The organization offered a 30K € prize pool to eight qualified amateur trios and 25 invited professional teams. G2’s list of invited teams included former FNCS Champs such as Hen, JannisZ, Chapix, Queasy, TruleX and Jur3ky, amongst countless others. Six matches stood between Europe’s elite and the 10.5K € grand prize. As the last Victory Royale screen rolled, one team solidified itself as number one.

Hen, JannisZ and Chapix Win … Again

While the United States celebrated the Fourth of July, the world’s best Fortnite trio of Hen, JannisZ and Chapix produced fireworks of their own in G2 Esports’ Get The Cash Cup. The FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 5 Champs brought their a-game in the first legitimate trios competition of Season 7. In a sea of Europe’s top squads, Hen, JannisZ and Chapix reminded everyone who’s the absolute best. Across six matches, the former champs managed one Victory Royale netting them an extra $750 €.

It was a remarkable performance that saw Europe’s top players run away with a dominant win and 11.25K €. The fight for second ultimately went to GO Decyptos, MCES Xsweeze and Wak1e, who accumulated 178 points and collected 3.75K €. BL Setty, GAMMA Kami and GXR teeq secured third place with 163 points. The always-entertaining team of BL Noahreyli, Rezon ay and Wave Vadeal took home the award of most Victory Royale with two, yielding them 1.5K €.

  • 7th: Monaco Anddone, jetsku, Orb – 123 points
  • 8th: LootBoy Queasy, Wave Jur3ky, Glorious TruleX – 121 points

Another FNCS on Tap

Players are preparing for FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 7, which begins on July 29. However, Hen, JannisZ and Chapix are a cut above the rest. We’ll have to keep a close eye on which teams rise over the next few weeks in the various Trio Cash Cups and other competitions coming soon.
