Fortnite’s seventh seasonal FNCS competition proved to be an endurance test for those fortunate enough to reach the finals. Three straight months of tireless practice set the stage for an exciting finalè in Fortnite Chapter 2 – Season 5. Epic Games committed a dazzling $3M USD to the competition, which includes seven worldwide regions. Day one was just a taste of what might have been the most exciting FNCS Finals that Fortnite fans have ever seen.

Only seven teams could claim their region’s top prize and the elusive Axe of Champions. The top three teams in each area will also automatically qualify for FNCS Chapter 2 – Season 6 Grand Finals. Epic Games structured this iteration to be one of the best, and it delivered on all expectations. Let’s take a look at who can rightfully call themselves FNCS Champions as Season 5 concludes.

Europe

Europe’s best trio – Hen, JannisZ and chapix – completed a season of success with a win in Fortnite’s most challenging region. It did not come easy, and these three had to rally on day two to put themselves within striking distance. Hen, JannisZ and chapix proceeded to run the table over the six remaining matches, where they earned two Victory Royales and 36 eliminations. It was a storybook ending as this trio completed one of the best seasonal performances the competitive scene has ever witnessed. Each player will walk away with a share of $300K USD.

Fellow GUILD members Flikk, Anas, and Gamma Gaming player Th0masHD put together an outstanding second-place effort, combining for 271 points. They managed the most eliminations in the Grand Finals with 72 over the final 12 games. Top contenders Vadeal, Noahreyli and rezon ay finished strong with a game seven Victory Royale and 260 points overall, landing them in third.

NA East

No one could have written a better ending to the FNCS for the NA East region. Countless trios were in the mix up until the very last match. However, G2 Jahq, LG Slackes and 1P Acorn would not be denied. They sat in second after day one and proved their grit with five top-ten finishes over the last six games. Jahq, Slackes and Acorn earned 303 points, securing first place and $50K USD each.

Commandment, Cented and Edgey remained in contention but fell just short in the last match. They played better than any other team on day two, managing two second-place finishes and 72 eliminations. BBG Bucke, BBG Khanada and G2 MackWood rallied back in the final two matches with a runner-up and Victory Royale.

NA West

100T Arkhram, 100T rehx and NRG EpikWhale held on to victory, and became the only back-to-back FNCS Champions. These three put forth an outstanding effort on day two. It took one Victory Royale and 22 eliminations to move them up the leaderboard. No one could catch them as Arkhram, rehx and EpikWhale finished with 302 points in total. The kings of NA West will remain in power for another season and they’ll collect $25K USD each for their win.

Tsg kenshu, tsg snacks and pure chris improved from fifth place on day one to second on day two. They accumulated 254 points, which comfortably landed them in the runner-up position ahead of day one leaders XTRA Quinn, Jucy and TSG dylannx7.

Brazil

One of Brazil’s Kings found his way into the Fortnite Champion Series winner’s circle, breaking a second-place curse that’s plagued him for multiple seasons. He did so this time with Seeyun and cadu in a performance that produced 329 points. These three players compiled a mind-blowing five Victory Royales and 63 eliminations. The second-place team didn’t make it easy as persa, Ed and Nicks earned 321 points but couldn’t find enough to win. Brazil brought an admirable effort in the Grand Finals.

The OCE region saw top trio PWR Muz, PWR looter and speedy dominate the competition. They managed 325 points across all 12 matches, including one Victory Royale and 71 eliminations. It was a historic and well-deserved win. Second place went to Agent SorifGoms, spg bercanvolx and syncyfishy with 295 points. Content creator Fresh accumulated 231 points, securing them a fifth-place finish.

Asia

Qjac, naetor and Alice claimed a narrow victory in the Asia region. It looked nerve-wracking leading up to the finish, but Qjac and company shut the door with a nine-elimination, second-place effort in the final match. They came through in the clutch when their tournament victory was still in question. Despite winning three games, Fram, Alba and Hikakin settled for second place with 270 points.

Middle East

The Middle East provided excitement right out of the gate with somewhat of a redemption story. After a second-place finish in last season’s FNCS, KuKi and Nyle swapped Mev out for Phantom in Season 5. It seems to have worked because these three can now call themselves FNCS Champions. KuKi, Phantom and Nyle made a statement in the Grand Finals, compiling 332 points to complement a whopping 78 eliminations. They rightfully claimed the Axe of Champions.
